If it's the former, doubt you would get big names but would be a nice look for the lesser known battlers. Im sure JC and Danny Meyers would jump at the opportunity as well

Eazy made the Uncle Murda Rap Up this year
It’s crazy how little battle rappers are know outside the culture. Eazy is Called Remy new boyfriend or side nikka. Besides Hitman, and Con people really don’t know any battle rappers. You can probably add Mook, Lux and Daylyt to a lesser extent.

I think this is especially more true for the newer guys. The first class of URL guys are pretty known too. There's pre-App and Post App battle rap. 9 times out of 10 if they ask a celeb their favorite battle rappers it's between the Smack guys (Lux, Mook, Rex) or the URL first class (Roc, Shine, Surf, Clips, Hitman, etc..)
There's a lot of guys who watched the URL on Youtube but completely fell off from watching once the battle were behind a paywall.
The App was a great move for them to make money but bad for their overall growth and notoriety.
