The barrier to entry to enter battle rap is extremely low. Any weirdo can just enter.
My favorite is when newer podcasts like the Danza project strategically entered the podcast game by using battle rap and then moving on to something else that brings more views and attention.

remember when danza first had a convo with harlem legend and kwa? kwa was gatekeeping hard like the culture had a hard set of morals and he was holding the flag. danza offered to fly them to miami to chop it up and dude was friendly as shyt. them niggs aint nobody. year or so later and harlem done pivoted to dark side of youtube gang content, kwa nowhere to be found and its a new crop of low tier creators.

Battle rap is the perfect gateway into the podcast space and those Danza interviewers are so mid, but managed to get up to 500k subscribers..
Hell they came in using niche genres like battle rap and boxing that have loyal followings and then moved up.
Hell 3 letterman should be bigger but seems content with his platform.

Who are these people stirring up all this drama? Battle rap really lets ANYONE in. This is defamation. Ms. Hustle would be considered a CLOWN in 99% of other real world spaces but in battle rap she's still able to move around like she's cool smh.
