I’m not a fan of using AI for creative ventures (or anything else, tbh) but to be fair to Lupe, training an AI tool with your own rap style to assist you is different to fans training AI tools with their best impressions of their favourite battlers. The former is assistance and the latter is imitation.
For the record, I think a writer as talented as Lupe using AI sets a terrible precedent for everyone else due to AI being soulless and void of creativity. The only use of AI in music I support is how Beanie Sigel is using it to restore his voice.
