They don't need to do anything "publicly" every disagreement doesn't need to be a debate show.



They are talking about two DIFFERENT things tho, Mickey is talking about people using Ai to mimic other rappers and write a verse for them..

Based on this video what Lupe is doing is cutting down the time rappers will spend googling words/etymologies/etc. He's still controlling where the verse goes creatively himself

No different than Daylyts misspelling words on purpose to discover different directions to go, just faster.


Rappers were already doing this, using Ai to save time clicking search links is simply cutting out the tedious shyt in-between each idea they have, there's nothing "less creative" about cutting your search time in half. By that logic they should be going to the library still instead of using the Internet. No one's walking around with a book of homophones in 2025 and that wouldn't make them more valid of an artist doing that over someone using the Internet to research.



Every art medium has a tedious research component somewhere that alot of people try to do faster if they can:

For illustrators it's usually looking up reference photos and learning anatomy. Some like going outside and taking photos, some just go to reference image sites, both valid.


The "art" isn't in how long or difficult it is for you to reach an idea, it's the idea itself, that Ai was not putting together his verse for him.


Lupe has always been more of a techie/scientist than any of his peers, and has expressed that rap doesn't need to be some mysterious skill

He is trying to get rap linguistics accepted as a literal science with a real MIT accredited textbook that a High School or college would actually carry, that means breaking it down to a SIMPLE science so anyone can be taught it, Ai like the one he used reflects that.

If he was in the spot chillin, and nikkas was like "oh you Clips, I need to hear something like yesterday" then thats hilarious. Like who bullies Clips, he's one of the most harmless nikkas in battle rap
