I don’t think they want to deal with the hassle of branding and developing new talent.
It would take about 3 years for battlers to be ready for Nome/SM, and then once they reach main event status, URL wants those main event battles, which is why they would sign dudes to 5 year deals.
However, once these guys get hot during that period, they want to battle everywhere, and then the URL looks like the bad guy for “blocking” their battles.
I thought allowing guys to battle on their home leagues was a good compromise, but are there really home leagues anymore? It seems like everyone just uses the same guys.
