They write similarly and don't punch in the regular way plus JC sometimes delivers in a way where he lets the words do the punching and adds nothing to his delivery to sell it. JC is clearly better though. So yea Xcel is clearly unpolished.

I don't see the similarities in their pen game at all. JC actually goes somewhere with his setups and deliveries.. And JC delivers with force. Xcel writes like doesn't know what a period is. If punches were a traffic signal, he'd run the red light every time. Then when he gets to that punch, it's like, "that's it?"

At times, JC does at least imo, but you right. That's why I feel like Xcel has this label of being potentially fire but every time I hear him, everything feels forgettable and not all that fire.

That's what I meant about him sounding like he's stringing along random thoughts and injecting wordplay rather than it just sounding right and hitting right.

JC has a better pen game. No argument there, but DNA could beat him in a battle. Any of these guys can beat each other on any given day.

DNA could win over the room & have JC looking pissed, because the crowd would be fukking with DNA over material JC would consider is weak. This shyt looks really bad on cam & JC just shouldn't react at all. For whatever reason, JC doesn't really bring his hardest material against "top tier" guys.
