Did you watch the dubbed or the subbed version?
For this one, I found the dubbed version to be on a bad anime level of voiceover. :russ:
( like Star Blazers, 3rd series bad) (Space Battleship Yamato, for the purists!)
That killed it for me - I watched the subbed version years later, and it was much better.
I watched the subbed version. I generally try to watch subbed before dubbed, and it's literally thanks to watching a bunch of anime get butchered by the dubbed versions :mjlol:

Even the subs had me a little iffy though, because even with the tiny bit of Spanish I can follow, I caught some translations not matching up particularly well.

I appreciate dubs because I know a ton of people won't watch a movie if they have to read subtitles, but I really think it makes a massive difference to watch horror movies in their original language. I can't even imagine Thesis if it was dubbed. It'd go from an elite thriller (imo) to a something campy and unintentionally funny in a heartbeat.

This the remake I'm talking about the original movie.

I'm tired, hungry, a mountain of uncertainty I'm being choked by , both literally and figuratively. It's taking its toll.

I love finding gems at thrift stores/libraries. Today I stopped by a library that had a shytload of DVDs. I found some horror films I never heard of before including Spielberg’s and Cameron’s feature film debuts.

The other surprise was finding a movie titled “Black Sun: The Nanking Massacre,” which is based on historical events. Let’s just say this shyt sounds wild AF. :merchant:

Also picked up some gangster books. :ahh:

Rewatching.

Before this mf went off the deep end :whew:

Gibson & Phoenix 🔒 in.

Peak buildup + tension & taking the baton of not showing too much & running wit it.
Picture going from Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, and Signs back to back to back; to The Village, Lady in the Water, and the Happening back to back to back. It's just an insane fall off.

Only 13 reviews in so far but 'Weapons' is sitting at 100% on RT which matches what I alluded to earlier last week about the reactions I've been seeing. People calling it a classic.

I don't want to get too hyped over it but I will just say that I'm liking what I'm hearing. We'll be there opening weekend.
