The conjuring was just okay. Too much CGI for my liking and never reaches its full potential imo. Still enjoyable and overall a great series that adds to another addition to this great year of horror.

'Clown in a Cornfield' was a pretty generic slasher for my taste but that's not to say it was bad. It looks like they had a bit of a budget so that was nice. I'll start with the positives. I really loved the setting for this. I read it was filmed mostly in Manitoba but if you told me it was somewhere in the Midwest I'd have believed it. I always like these small town lore horror flicks because they remind me of some of Stephen King's classics. The twist in this was kind of interesting and the women they cast were nice to look at. The lead was sort of unlikable which was an interesting choice for a final girl. Unfortunately, I wish they had explored the lore a little bit more and the kills were uninspired to me. It's decent but I expected more.

Breh I agree with you. My date and I loved this shyt, we saw it opening weekend. I wrote about it in here. I wouldn't say it was perfect because I didn't really love a lot of the new cast but I still fukked with it heavy

I'm sorry but I didn't like IKWYDLS 2025. I knew where the movie was going somehow and when it went there...yea
I did enjoy the cameos but I did not like them saying the old lines, you know which one. It didn't know if it wanted to be campy or serious which I think is the real problem with the movie. I wish the movie focused more on the class disparity between the people that lived in the town. I think there could have been something there.

They reference the second twice in the new movie. The second one isn't good but Brandy, Mekhi Phifer, Bill Cobbs, and Jeffery Combs make it fun in their scenes.

I can't remember if I spoke about 'The Toxic Avenger' from 1984 in here or not. I watched it recently in preparation for the remake. Believe it or not, I think I only ever saw some clips from this, not the entire movie. I'm having a difficult time putting this into words. I definitely enjoyed watching it but I don't know if I'd ever watch it again. The gratuitous violence and nudity is all here. It's so over-the-top and everything is about excess but I think that's the point. If the movie is saying anything it's showing how self-indulgent people really are. I couldn't believe they did the kid like that. I can see why it was so controversial. The make-up effects and gore effects are hit and miss. Some of it is good especially for the time while other shyt, especially the suit looks pretty bad.
