I can't remember if I spoke about 'The Toxic Avenger' from 1984 in here or not. I watched it recently in preparation for the remake. Believe it or not, I think I only ever saw some clips from this, not the entire movie. I'm having a difficult time putting this into words. I definitely enjoyed watching it but I don't know if I'd ever watch it again. The gratuitous violence and nudity is all here. It's so over-the-top and everything is about excess but I think that's the point. If the movie is saying anything it's showing how self-indulgent people really are. I couldn't believe they did the kid like that. I can see why it was so controversial. The make-up effects and gore effects are hit and miss. Some of it is good especially for the time while other shyt, especially the suit looks pretty bad.

Can you believe they turned this into a Saturday Morning Cartoon for kids Because of the cartoon I watched this movie too many times as a young kid.

There’s something about the way that house door would open up to nothing but a dark void that sends chills down my spine…

Honestly, more spooked by that little moment than what eventually popped out of the darkness. Especially on first watch. Really good sequence overall tho.

Don't have much to say about it, 'Children of the Corn' remake from 2023 wasn't my thing. The original is so much better in pretty much every aspect. This was way too clean, stylized and with a plot that didn't grab me.

Damn good line-up. It’s censored for TV but there’s something cool about sharing those watches with countless others across the country.

Though I gotta say…nothing will top AMC’s MonsterFest in the mid 2000s.
