So how was clown in a cornfield? Was it a fun movie? Looked tempting from the trailers.
It's fun but has it's issues. I wrote a bit about it here. Don't go into it thinking it's going to reinvent the wheel or anything. It's a pretty standard slasher.
Yeah, that's basically what it is. It's a paint-by-numbers slasher. Not bad, but nothing special. Worth a one-time watch for horror heads, especially slasher fans.

It looked ass from the beginning. Peele feel off, thank God he didn't get weapons.

Marlon ain't got it no more either
Peele didn’t direct though. He is the producer and his name is splattered everywhere on this project to help with ticket sells.

But for the most part, bad reviews in horror is a major toss-up. There’s a disconnect from regular folks who review movies to horror fans.

Weapons and sinners reviews and praise is rare for horror.

The trailers did look ass though. So I guess we just gotta find out ourselves

Big News!!!

Speaking of which, Taiwan Killer Hospital was a bit of a letdown for me. I think both Grave Encounters and Gonjiam start slow, but it serves to connect us with the characters and their personalities and it orients us to the asylums and their history. Killer Hospital speed runs the introductions and very quickly gets into some haunting stuff. But that makes the characters lose depth, and it's harder to orient yourself to where everyone's traveling.

It's not terrible, but it doesn't live up to Grave Encounters or Gonjiam....or Grave Encounters 2.

So hopefully this reboot of the originator lives up to the OGs.
