I copped Fear Itself: The Fearless, which I believe is the main FI story. Any thoughts on it? The covers are nice.

Man, the recent Detective arc started out dope and slowly went meh. What a waste of time.

I know. I was all geeked up with the earlier issues and then for the reveal to be what it was just seemed like a cop out and a total waste of time.
It also made Bruce/Batman look like a mentally damaged a$$hole.

I just finished it. It was a little jarring at first, but it served as a nice little prelude to 1000. No sprawling arcs, just a reflection of where Bruce has been and where he's going. Basically a longer form version of the types of stories we'll see in 1000 since, like Action Comics, there won't be any major story arcs being set up (except Arkham Knight).

Also it shut up all those fanboys who were so outraged at how they 'killed' Leslie Thompkins.

The MCU gotta do an Avengers movie that has them fighting a rampaging Hulk. Avengers vs. Hulk always is an epic fight.

Luthor outmaneuvering the Justice League and setting the perfect trap for Superman was so enjoyable.
I have a bad feeling once this whole Perpetua thing comes to fruition that this whole story will fall apart but I am enjoying the road that is leading up to it.

The first issue of Young Justice showed a lot of promise, but the last two haven't been doing it for me. It feels like nothing's happened. Sure we learned

Conner has a wife and a kid on Gemworld,

but it's already falling into the very trap I was afraid it would: it's gonna take issues of setup to explain how the hell this book even exists right now, before it can actually get going. This is definitely a consequence of all the Doomsday Clock delays.

Also, this is the second time in a Bendis book since he's been at DC where

S.T.A.R. Labs does some super illegal shyt. In Superman they did an experiment that put Earth in the Phantom Zone, and in this book it was one of their experiments that got Conner sent to Gemworld.

Because it's happening in two different books I'm assuming this will be important either during or after Leviathan Rising.

I'm seriously about to drop Uncanny X-Men. Between all the weekly books, every other issue being $6, and all these superfluous Age of X-Man titles, this series is not good enough to be spending all this money on it.
