Morrison might be the most influential comic writer of the last 20 years. His All-Star Superman is the basis for the new Superman movie, pre-Kakoa, his X-Men was the basis of the modern X-Men status quo, and his Batman run is largely the basis of Batman's modern status quo.
Good for him but still no:camby:

Man, that was A LOT of things going on in Imperial #2. I hope next month's issue thing slow down a little bit so we can start figure out wtf is is really going on.

T'Challa was :picard: :wow: "Leniency comes AFTER submission "

Even Hickman would say Morrison is an influence on him but that's just a complete different topic from asking someone who they prefer as a comic writer.

Hickman Basically set up the entire Marvel universe at this point. His FF, Avengers, and X-men run are the status quo going forward. I would also argue what Morrison did for Superman, Hickman did for Dr. Doom.

His X-Men is so good it’s essentially written the entire line into a corner and they don’t know how to turn it around.

I doubt Marvel lets him go but I would love to see a Hickman take on Superman

After Hickman completed his FF, Avengers and X-Men runs, those books have now become unreadable for me.

There's no way I could go back to reading the standard super hero / status quo stories again.

Right even more so with the x-men:camby:
Marvel completely erasing his amazing work with Apocalypse in the FIRST book post Krakoa was disgusting :pacspit:

I read they are doing a new AoA style story with this Age of Revelation crossover and went :snoop:

It took like 15 years and Ryan North to finally revive the F4. And even though I did not care for his run (dropped it after issue 8) he least has found some legit success with the book.

Avengers have gone back to "who gives a fukk" status ever since Secret Wars ended and boy have they tried to make them relevant (specially with the MCU sinergy). I have no clue who can bring them back to prominence.

X-Men it has already been discussed. All time fumble by Marvel :smh:

I'm glad his Spider-Man is in an alternate universe because him telling a definite Amazing Spiderman story could crush Marvel :russ:

There's not a lot else Hickman can write at this point. There's Dr. Strange -and he kinda tried a ripoff with G.O.D.S.-, Black Panther, maybe Inhumans and that's about it. I'd be shocked if he's still working at Marvel by 2028 and I'd be really surprised if DC doesn't give in and offers him the deal he wants soon.

BTW, I just discovered the big Maker crossover event is gonna be called Ultimate Endgame :russ: :russ:

They have a panel at SDCC on Saturday with both Camp and Hickman so we'll see if they end up writing it as a collaborative effort or if Hickman officially passes the baton to him :lupe:

from what I hear, theyre also using his Time Runs Out stuff for the next movie phase.

I been severely slacking in this thread.

They using some ideas/concepts like they did for Infinity War (Thanos' Black Order) but not really using Hickman's roadmap to Secret Wars. They basically took the incursions and Doom -and mayyybe we get Molecule Man- but the way they are gonna be used has little to do with Time Runs Out.

It's a shame because they had like a 5-8 year money making roadmap if they were patient and followed just the main parts of his FF/Avengers run. Feige fumbled that one up.
