They got caught flatfooted on this partey situation, clearly. Just trying to get a stopgap solution for a coupla seasons

Even with Zubimendi coming, i think we need a Partey replacement for depth

Yeah, I dont think Zubimendi/Norgaard is even an upgrade on Partey/Jorginho and thats like 50 mil spent.

Should keep Partey and ease Zubi into the team, the pace of the PL is gonna be a shock for him when Raya starts rolling him the ball and he's facing his own goal

This. This team is fukking dumb man

Always one step forward, two steps back. I’m still not even convinced Zubimendi is good enough for our play style as a lone pivot. If you’re going to lose Partey you go all out to buy another player in that mold.

Imagine pressing Brighton for Baleba. We could do it if we cared about winning.

I guess I like Zubimendi more than rest of yall. Replaced Rodri halftime of the Euro final, Spain got better.
Liverpool wanted him for a reason

Our midfield is severely lacking in athleticism. Partey was really good on the ball facing goal and breaking press. I’m not sure Zubimendi can play that way as well as he did. If we don’t scare teams with the attack by making some signings, we’ve definitely gone backwards. Norgaard? Really?

Yeah Baleba is a baller he's exactly what we should be going for. This club is not serious at all

Just terrible going about when you knew Partey contract about to be up.

Imo, Arteta doesn't see long term solutions because Norgaard is a clear Arteta quick signing.

Zubi is Parteys replacement. Norgaad is Jorginho replacement.

Our starting mid will be Zubi, Rice, and Odergaard.

Love Partey and all, but if Zubi clicks, we can unlock Odergaard again, not coming so deep anymore.

And if Zubi Struggles Norgaard can step right in. Very good player, played in very good system. Great price, favorable wages.

Gives us more financial leverage for that Wide left player.

Partey wanted a payrise on already high salary. That wasn't gonna happen

Maybe the playing is gonna change somewhat.

Our midfield play as a whole wasn't great last season, on both sides. We gotta freshen it up
