Play with 3 center backs but have problems keeping a clean sheet. Terrorist ball not sustainable to win a league.

Klopp seriously needs to consider finding more plating time for Konate. Dudes been outstanding.

Konate had a good game but we also have VVD and Matip the gawd :blessed:

Some of Matip's play out the back and under pressure today was fantastic. Breh was casually strolling out of the Newcastle press and playing helluva through balls

Matip always looks like he's ready to make a mistake and you feel it coming...sometimes he even looks clumsy on the ball.....but then you watch game after game and still no mistake. Outside of his injuries he's been a great signing.

Not some bytch who goes into hiding when their squad chokes away titles.

Lol I'm always here.

You are a Chelsea fan whose name is bboystyle, sounds like you'd have to go into hiding if you ever pull up to London with them real chelsea fans. Fight your own battles with yourself.

He has but he's still raw and has missed a lot of football the last 2 years, I think we are doing the right thing easing him in the way we are and we have the luxury to be able to do that with Virg and Joel but he is gonna be a beast :blessed:

I see someone's still bitter about that loss 6 months on.:banderas:

I feel as Klopp still hasn't found a suitable role for Ox, it is what it is :manny:
Naby should be getting those minutes, I'm hoping we just being careful easing him back with AFCON coming up.

It's just that long stride of his :russ: one of the best cbs about and criminally underrated.

Lol I'm always here.

I agree but Martinelli was out for months and Arteta threw him on the first 2/3 matches he was available then binned him. He went off injured against Chelsea iirc and then he was back. He wasn't performing lost his confidence and Arteta used that protecting players line.

Arteta reckless with the young boys when he's desperate.

I do worry for Saka under Arteta. He's played too much ball and it has shown the early part of the season minus the Spurs game but seems to have come into form over the last couple of games. The over reliance on the young players is down to the experience players going missing minus Laca so he has no other choice but to over play them. :manny: Also if we really think about it what coaches do you actually trust with younger players nowadays? They all over play the good ones minus Pep and he's really only had Foden to look after. Plus he has the squad where he doesn't require Foden to play week in week out when he was developing. Look at Pedri played a million games in the year for both Barca and Spain and then picked up a muscular injury that has kept him out for as few months. Wenger was reckless with Wilshere.

I think the unbeaten run didn't help Martinelli get minutes. As we known majority of coaches prefer to bring on experienced and defensive players to hold a lead. And I think it was only the Palace game where you had to chase the game in that run. Also factor in ESR form on the left was far better than expected and iirc Martinelli is regarded to be a LW by the club.

Should postpone till January. But then there's gonna be fixture pileups, AFCON, the new season starts earlier and there's a winter World Cup coming soon. :picard:

That really benefits teams like Wolves & Arsenal and the lot with no european football. And if I'm not mistaken only Pepe, Auba and Elneny the only Gunners going to AFCON so :manny:

Don't do that. I'm sick and tired of this narrative with Martinelli and Tierney that Fans and Martin Ape Man Keown keep on pushing. Those 2 need protecting from themselves especially after coming back from injury. They only play at 1 pace and that fast and furious and get stuck in. If they aren't managed slowly back into things they will get injured again. Yeah Martinelli could of been used a bit more this season but any Arsenal fan telling me they ain't :lupe: everytime when Martinelli or Tierney go down is a liar and I put that on grape.

Perfect example of this is Dembele. When Valverde was at Barca he never eased Dembele back into the side. He deployed him on the wing and said "just run" as if the kid couldn't dribble or score. So he kept snapping hamstrings.

Reducing the league I don't think is the issue. I think its no winter break, a league cup no one cares about and dumb ass international breaks.

- Create EPL Winter Break
- Kill the League Cup (or truncate it to a playoff)
- International Qualifiers played in May & July. With no international breaks, the season would end a couple of weeks sooner.
- No winter WC's ever again
