Joe was well within his rights to say “fukk no” to them about equity, but that doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to do. Especially with how he speaks.People acting like giving even brand new employees equity is unheard of. You get at least 4 or 5 figures worth of equity at any halfway decent tech job even if you’re coming out of college.

Any JBP fan can attest to this. Countless episodes of Joe being annoyed cause these brought nothing to the table on air. Your a show that reviews albums and none of them listened. A show that’s funniest when guys get vulnerable and riff on their lives yet nobody would share. Yelling at Mal for being in his phone on air. There was a clear line of miscommunication and understanding what this was at some point. Once the money got involved Joe treated it like a business and the other two continued to treat it like a hobby and they never hashed that out until it was too late.

Except, they estimated they would make 10,000, paid him 3,000. He asked for an audit and they found out the podcast only made 8,000. So he made more than he should have. Then Rory said the audit was bullshyt.
