I'd rather see jones vs silva, gsp is a great fighter but he can't beat silva, jones on the other hand has at least a chance. That being said I read this morning that gsp and silva will both fight once before it happens, or at least that's what Dana said he wants so we will see

To get gsp I'm sure Dana will make anderson promise to fight jones

Anybody on this site can acknowledge that you're a GSP hater.
like I said to the other clown stop placing me amongst ppl of your age group I dont ride like that..My hate or like for gsp is irrelevant when discussing facts, broaden that mindset and stop thinking like "you are just saying that because you hate my favorite fighter"
In terms of similarity, I was referring to both of them not wanting to fight a higher weight class champion.
thats a bit of an oversimplification, we still dont know what AS plans will be once he gets the gsp fight. He might be playing chess not checkers.GSP has never committed to fighting anderson accept when AS trolled zuffa
- GSP doesn't want Anderson
- Anderson doesn't want Jones

Only GSP is a chump in this situation
There is no similarity in the sense that anderson has nothing left to prove gsp still does. Anderson is far away ahead of the pack while jones has already surpassed gsp's number 2 spot depending on who u ask.Anderson has had a longer reign, moved up in weight e.t.c GSP has just stayed the course, the onus is on him to accept this challenge.Anderson situation with jones is just racially motivated like i already hinted..
GSP has beaten more top 5 fighters than Anderson Silva has,so that's a start
Dumb way to classify a champions worth because looks are deceiving case in point jake shields. This guy feasted in strikeforce caught a break with an ailing hendo.Aside from that fight most if not all his Ws were against dudes with suss TDD/grappling.He comes to ufc and is another guy, thiago alves is another.
When he beat hughes he was probably said to be ranked 2 but he always sucked against wrestlers and now the ww div is stacked with them hes another guy. .
He's also beaten 15 top 10 fighters [ second to only Anderson] . Yes, a lack of finishes holds GSP back, but he's still easily a top 3 all time fighter. His division is pretty easily more stacked than MW as well.
That is it in a nutshell aside from hughes this guy cant finish welterweights. You can use the "well the division is more stacked" excuse but if gsp is suppose to be the best WW of all time surely he should be able to finish one during a 4 year reign
So tell me, who's ahead of GSP in the all-time rankings? And who's the best WW of all time?
I dont get involved in these sort f discussion now that mma is dying on its feet and the ufc are running out of talent. But if someone said bones was number 2 I'd be like :ehh:.As for your other question cant call it for reasons I already stated above

Anderson will squash Jon Jones like bug. Jons striking just isnt good enough to deal with the spider. those silly leg kicks will get him punished and bruised by veteran experience. He wont be taking the spider down, he wont be choking the spider out. He will be TKO'd though. GSP will be a cake walk.

Don't think its an easy fight for either Jones or Silva. Gsp shouldn't even entertain the talks about moving up to fight Silva.

Anderson has a heavy size advantage. 2 years ago, I'd have picked GSP by pure takedowns and positional control but now I'd pick Anderson. I do think GSP could take down Anderson. The problem is that every round starts on the feet and with 5 rounds Silva is guaranteed 5 times to meet GSP on his feet. I think at least once he can catch GSP coming in.

I can see anderson v gsp happening with the understanding that anderson will fight jones if he wins. But then i can also see anderson saying fukk you dana and laughing away in the sunset as he retires and fights roy jones jr in an exhibition in brazil.

The reason why every fighter that has gone up against jones standing up loses cause dudes reach is beyond normal. So he sees sht and has enough distance to get away from it that's why he stays doing that shogun thing when someone rushes him and he puts his hand together and parts them. I'm sad to say silva would lose against jones. Not many fighters outside of the hw that can stand toe to toe with him. And even like 1 or 2 people in hw can at that. Dude is the true "phenom" at this point.

Last thing I'll say about GSP vs Silva.

Condit wobbled GSP badly. A 170-lber did that. Silva finished all the 205ers he's fought in under one round. Silva shrugged off their punches to his grill like nothing. Just saying, if I was GSP, I wouldn't want to take that fight. Especially when there's still a big payday with Nick Diaz and possibly Hendricks and Rory after that.

Weidman is out of his fight with Tim Boetsch at UFC 154.

It's not Boetsch VS Costa Philippou.

Jones beats Anderson...takes him down at will, destroys him with GnP

why exactly do u think Anderson doesnt want to fight him?

Money. He has 2 fights left under his contract. Dont you see whats happening here, friend? :ld: Thats not a fight you take for the first offer. You crush GSP and that builds up more of a case for more money for your last fight where you crush Jon Jones and retire the supreme goat. Do you realize how big the advertising dollars and payout will be if he beats GSP and then goes back to the negotiating table for the Jones fight. Anderson is afraid of no one and he is a pure warrior. He will beat Jones.

Beating Jon Jones now means anderson can retire, now. There would be no point in fighting GSP if he beat Jones now. This is like a story where you fight the final boss after beating the 2nd in command. Beating GSP and Jon Jones solidifies his legacy beyond what it already is.

But ultimately, its about the money and anderson has already said publically that if the UFC asks him he will fight Jones.

Anderson Silva wants Georges St-Pierre, will fight Jon Jones if asked by UFC | UFC News | ESPN.co.uk

Ill give u that that could be the case...but i guarantee Jones ragdolls him in the cage. Hes just simply not going to stand with him, and EASILY puts him on his back. Easily, all 5 rounds if need be
