too god damn long, and i dont like wearing anything close to formal attire . but weddings are just too damn long a lot of times. my cousin shoots weddings, he was the main shooter, traditional wedding type shyt. Brides are annoying AF 80% of the time

i'm the same, if it ain't jeans and a t-shirt, i dont feel comfortable. let me be bummy in peace. but for $100-$150/hr, i can step outside my comfort zone a bit lol

but when u can get them same $$$ an hour or more in them t-shirts and jeans... weddings can kick rocks . typically you just wear all black like a polo and some black pants. that part isnt my main issue. weddings just long AF . at least the traditional jawns where photogs getting 3k and up

Right now, no niche. Just trying to show my competency as a photographer to get work as a second shooter locally.

The wrestling photo is an excellent portfolio peice and looks like a sports photography shot it.

The other photos to me, don’t connect with anything that pays.

If I were you, I’d look for more events you can shoot at, mix it up can’t be all wrestling. If your not using flash yet, a couple freebie gigs you can learn to bounce flash in a low pressure environment

im struggling with this because im shooting my corp jobs holiday party. It’s Formal, but I’m shooting it and I want to wear my stand all black with a black Lacoste, but I’m also an employee “attendee”

You about to charging $700 for 3 hours big dawg. You will be in spaces where you’ll want to put that shyt on.

Honestly, that’s why I stepped up to Rolex. Meeting prospective clients at events, they respect it when I give them the high price.

luckily i aint have to do all of that to shoot stuff, but that is a thing.

And I don’t have to do it to get gigs either. Certain things just impact what circles you get invited too. Kind of like learning how to play golf.

I can imagine behind primary for a wedding being stressful as fukk, but you hate shooting weddings even as a 2nd? why is it so bad?

Long days on your feet, did it for 2 yrs. Be wore out by the time you get home. Didn't help that I wasn't getting paid a lot.
