I disagree, by definition it’s unprecedented because this law has never been used before. The long run implications are more power for police and more power for politicians to abuse their power. As for the race angle, it’s white people who are most worked up in this story on both sides.

a lot of things have been unprecedented in the last 2 years. the long term implication is that threatening democracy under the guise of fighting for freedom won't hack it.
once the dust settles we will see more background info on the organizing players and true interests behind this thing. the forensic account tracing of the money has already shown this is more about maga than any covid shyt. their demands have shown that as well.
it's no coincidence that these protest which are heavily white leaning come after the most prominent years of Black protests in our lifetime. shyt is call and response for their side. A lot of narratives and interests are always at play and many of them even align. People skim the surface and take shyt for face value. The truth is beneath
We just had a rather disappointing divisive federal election, tensions were already simmering in society. crakkkas have spent a couple years watching their old racist heroes statues get trampled over and tossed in rivers. they mounted a push back behind a FAKE cause. Social consciousness has waves. The current wave isn't OURS
Does this mean that nobody was outside protesting the actual mandates? absolutely not but movements get co-opted. Covid protests were just the perfect vehicle for the delivery at this time and the maga of the north knew this well. Underhanded people the greatest opportunists
