They don't let black people get to a certain point. You should be happy with where you're at...that's it. There's no movement beyond that. Again, I know plenty of black people who are doing well and have good jobs. But they aren't in top roles like President, VP, etc. Those spots are still predominantly for white males. Asians are making moves though. I'm not sure if that will actually benefit us.

correction: Asians in BC are making moves. South Asians in ontario, are making moves.

Vancouver even had a chinese (not born here either by the way) chief of police while they were on the come up

Thing is non-white immigrants see the landscape with no blacks in high ranking roles and buy into the 'cism. US is fukked but at least they got blacks as Presidents and VP's. We have nothing of the sort here. We have plenty of blacks that do well for themselves but where the fukk are all the black people at?

tell me how my cousin was saying the same exact thing 2 weeks ago. She used to live in Toronto, went to school here did her master's in the States and said the same thing. You will see way more black professionals in the US than Canada proportionally speaking. She living in Ghana right now. Canada is hella covert and people fooled by it

I lived in Scotia.
North Preston is the only majority black area in Canada. It has a higher income level than surrounding areas, and the most black home ownership in the country.
NS is different. More racist in some places, less than others....no boat brehs.
