chris paul was the best player imo in 07-08, then its been bron ever since. id give kobe the nod in 05-06, and the 06-07 seasons. every other season in his career someone else bested in in that particular season. like i said, im in the middle of the argument. i dont think hes been the best in a bunch of seasons, but theres been a couple where he was. its moreso trying to find what the kobestan baseline for best player in the league is, and clearly was a futile effort

I'm a bit curious about this. Why u think this? Paul wasn't a good defender that year, he just acquired a lotta steals, i.e. Iverson. I mean, did u see what Parker did to him in those playoffs? It wasn't until that ass-whoopin' that he took defense serious. His '09 season, u have a much better case for. Can't think of anotha PG that had that well-rounded of a season. I thought he bested James that year/shoulda been MVP.

I find it audacious that these dudes feel they know better than the dudes who actually compete against Kobe. For example, if every player said Kobe was overrated and not the best during the last decade, then I would rethink my position considering they are the ones that compete with him. I find it funny that these nikkas are gonna discount the words of the dudes who actually play and coach the game.

why not say Wade cause that was his best friend in the league? remember Wade was ballin that year 30-7-6 average i believe

why not CP3? you believe he was the best in 08 and put up even better stats in 09

or how bout Duncan? who all you nikkas grasp at desperately as better than Kobe

he coulda picked anybody in the league.....yet he choose Kobe......and has continually mentioned Kobe's name whenever the topic was asked

think paul was the best offensively in 07-08, and played good enough defensively over the course of the year to be the best overall player that season. he was fantastic again the next year, maybe even better, but james was better than paul was that season

these nikkas are basically thinking each year about who they could make an argument for over Kobe....its not that they believe CP3 was the best.....they just know he's the only dude they could make an argument for without getting laughed at instantly

CP3 played well and his team finished second to Kobe so these nikkas just latch onto that

pretty much every player, coach, and GM said Kobe was the best

it was DEAFENING

in fact it was acknowledged even moreso than LeBron until this past season

I've only seen Bron get those props as loudly as Kobe did just this past season. Before that it was crickets.

you crazy as hell if you don't think Bron was looked at as the flat out BEST last season.

It's been a given the past 2 seasons unanimously.
