I think prior to 2008, Kobe was the best but you could of made an argument for others being on his level. Thats the difference between Kobe, MJ and Bron. When Mike was in the league he was the BEST PERIOD and nobody could touch him. You couldn't say that for Kobe..

In 2009, Dwyane Wade was beastmode and led the league in scoring. Wade was on Kobe's level but Lebron still won another MVP..

After 2008, Bron took over the title as the best and now nobody can touch him..

2006-08 I think he had a great case despite Nash's MVPs.

It was pretty obvious that had he had a good team around him, they'd have no problem going to second or first in the conference. He physically really didn't have any weaknesses at the time, and his game was pretty much at the highest level of his career. Look at the tape from back then and I just don't see anyone who could touch him.

2009 started the downswing as he really didn't have to exert himself until the playoffs and Wade and LeBron were having ridiculous seasons.

You might could say he had a better season or two here and there but I wouldn't count that as him being the better player. Circumstances play a role in that, especially if its only one or two seasons of him being "better". To me you have to have a stretch of seasons to be considered the best and by saying Wade was a better player in some years would mean he was the best in the league and we can all agree :washedwade: has never been the best player in the league. Among them yes, the p4p best tho?
