Really feeling these Bitfenix Prodigy cases layout. Would definitely go with one if I was air cooling and not SLI'ing.

looks to me like the placement of the graphics card would restrict it's air flow since it's fan side is right up against the case.

Gang violence...
initial impressions:

i have run the stock 780 at all ultra, all max AA, at 1920x1200 and i am getting perfectly smooth performance in games like BF3, blood dragon, and arma 3. my monitor can only handle 59 fps, so the card is overkill, basically. well, maybe not overkill for the new metro game. i dont have it, so i dont know. also, it seems arma 3 is capped at only 32 fps no matter what. maybe in beta it will get a higher frame ceiling?

:jawalrus: looks like it is time for me to get a new monitor...

Have you thrown console gaming in the bushes completely? You seem to be going hard on the PC these days.

Get a 2560x1440 monitor and you will drool. I didn't want to dump my iMac just because of the resolution :whew:

:whoa: Y'all tryna bankrupt a nikka, I done spent way more than I initially planned on this build over time and went out a bought a 1080P TV just for it.

:wow: @ me thinking I was :blessed: playing on a 720P TV. :laff:

and IPS monitor with extra pixels def worth it

I wonder if its worth the upgrade from 2x dell 1900x1200 24" to one 27" 2560x1440, I use my PC for 99% other things than gaming and productivity is the most important thing though, so idk. 2x 1440p seems like a little bit of an overkill for my spacing

Stay away from 1440p for gaming unless you SLI'ing / CFX. Need some serious muscle to game @ this resolution. Though I guess its doable if you don't mind dropping a gang of settings down which then will negate any benefits of even going 1440p in the first place.

Some games it's very doable. I can run Infinite maxed out, 60fps at 1440p on a 7870. Tomb Raider runs at around 30fps with a few dips here and there if maxed out.

Well yeah it's going to depend on the game. Infinite ain't bout that life though. As you can see Tomb Raider is. I'm also pretty sure the AA you're using is FXAA and not SSAA. SSAA at this resolution will stomp out most cards.

I think I need a new monitor also, maybe the reason why I think all PC games look like sh1t is because Im limited to 1080p?

SSAA is demanding even at 1080P. I honestly can't really tell the differences between the AA applications to be honest. I usually use SMAA at 1440P and it looks good enough for me downsampled. I'm not ready for that 4xSSAA life.
