I think I need a new monitor also, maybe the reason why I think all PC games look like sh1t is because Im limited to 1080p?

SSAA is demanding even at 1080P. I honestly can't really tell the differences between the AA applications to be honest. I usually use SMAA at 1440P and it looks good enough for me downsampled. I'm not ready for that 4xSSAA life.

Tell me about it. When I first switched to 1440p Tomb Raider with 4x SSAA had my 690 and single Titan coughing up blood,
Titan SLI though,
However @ 1440P anything over 2x AA is overkill. At these resolutions you don't need as much AA as you do on 1080. Not even going to touch on shoving 1440p onto a 1080p screen though. Never done it. Can you see a significant difference?
1080P good enough for me.also, it seems arma 3 is capped at only 32 fps no matter what. maybe in beta it will get a higher frame ceiling?
what are you downsampling? i thought you gamed on a 1080p TV.
Some games it's very doable. I can run Infinite maxed out, 60fps at 1440p on a 7870. Tomb Raider runs at around 30fps with a few dips here and there if maxed out.

hmm.. can i use daemon tools to install windows 7 instead of burning the iso?

Same principal that let's people run ps2 games in 1080p on pcsx2. Renders the image at a higher than native resolution then pushes that to the native making it look clearer and sharper.
I'm downsampling whatever game handles it with reasonable FPS. So far Bioshock Infinite, Sleeping Dogs, Sonic All Stars Racing transformed and w/e else can handle it. I game on a 1080P TV and apparently that's what downsampling is for. It's basically makes a clearer picture by doing some shyt to make it clearer *Tom jargon*.![]()
