I used to be really deep in the whole 'build a PC myself' hobby. But I lost interest considering there aren't any PC games that appeal to me.

Have you tried displayport or dual-link dvi? HDMI really isn't rated to push out that amount of pixels and its usually recommend to use a displayport or dual link dvi cable for 1440P. On my PB278Q which is a 1440P moniter there's a noticeable difference when you try hdmi vs displayport.
I don't think my TV has a displayport to my knowledge... I gotta see about dual-link dvi though. I remember i fixed this issue with my older gtx 550 ti through HDMI and I fixed it.

Brehs when are SSD prices coming down? I was just browsing newegg and that Samsung 840 Pro Series 256gb is looking funny at me :patrice:

its been steadily coming down almost everyday, it just depends on which models. the 256 pro was on sale recently for below 200, should have copped it then. :manny:

I doubt it does. I could be wrong about your issue and how downsampling works though. I just know for 1440p monitors you need to use displayport or dual link dvi's, a lot of monitors at the resolution don't even come with HDMI.

i use to own a switch 810. they make great designs for their cases, but i wasn't fond of the amount of plastic they use.

That's why I never jumped on one of their phantom cases. I usually hate things that come with a crazy amount of plastic.

The H2 is supposed to be rock solid and silent tho, so for $17 I said fukk it and bought it :manny:
