The latest update made sli even worse with Far Cry 4. There is terrible flickering now (everyone is getting it). Ubisoft can't do anything right. They finally fixed sli with previous patches, and then with the latest yeti patch they fukk it up again. What a horrible companySo these gtx 980's I picked up are just slicing through everything :swagfather:
And then I get to Far Cry 4:yeah ok:
Game is running fine at a mixture of high and ultra settings...
But...
Gpu 1 = 98 % load...
Gpu 2 = 5 % load:yeah ok::dahellwhat:
Meanwhile, WB games is giving me 90 % load on both cards for Dying Light...
Bethesda giving me 85 - 90% load for both cards on Evil WIthin...
What in the fukk are you doing Ubisoft:dahellwhat::yeah ok:...
How is SLI still fukked up for this game going on 6 months after release:dahellwhat::yeah ok:

For z97, would you go ASUS and just go z97 or would you go MSI and go Z97a?

Not to mention Dragon Age: Inquisition is still fukked up in sli too 6 months later....![]()
At the update because before it I was getting much better SLI performance on my GTX 780's...For z97, would you go ASUS and just go z97 or would you go MSI and go Z97a?
Oh, I was talking about the usb 3.1 z97a mobos give you. Asus just released an A version too, but it's kinda low-end.I'd go with Asus. There is no Z97A chipset. You may be mixing up the boards model name.
The Titan X is almost there, but not quite. I looked into it and if you want ultra 60fps, even at 3K like me, you kinda need 2 of em. I'm really considering buying 2 titan xs this week. I'm gonna sleep on it thoughYeah that shyt had me bugged out for a minute I thought something was wrong with my card...

With the Titan X card though it seems we are knocking on the doorstep of single card's that can do 4k, so these gtx 980's are probably the last time i will do SLI...

I like my current Asus mobo, but that MSI Z97A Gaming 9 ACK looks nice too. It has a ton of usb ports, UEFI, better sound on board, etc. It's a little cheaper too. It's so new, I couldn't find any reviews though. I'll probably stick with ASUS, cuz I like how they do things, but their onboard audio is lacking dolby digital live (which I really need for my headset) and there aren't as many usb ports on the z97 models, when compared to the x79 ones

Yeah I thought about that but I remembered how my old systems would be heating up with a 600w.@SofaRealDoe you don't need a 1200w power supply. you'd probably be OK with ~600w
also a 10,000 rpm HDD isn't really needed if you have a SSD
I know everyone swears by Asus...but them MSI gaming boards is dope and stable as fukk...and MSI has mad tools....Oh, I was talking about the usb 3.1 z97a mobos give you. Asus just released an A version too, but it's kinda low-end.
