@daze23 You on the "Pillar of Eternity" wave yet? It's getting amazing reviews and is only $33 with GMG VIP. I think it's right up your alley (CRPG)

Edit: nevermind, I saw you in the official thread. Game looks good
GMG VIP comin through once again :win:

edit: I hope they also have a deal on GTA V

edit2: they have it for $46.79 :ehh:

My Titan's will be here tomorrow but my waterblocks won't be till late next week. :mjcry:
Sold my 780s. But got a dude who is offering 2 of his og titans for $700. Tempting, but not worth it. Titan x is impressive, but fukk that price.:camby:

My x99 deluxe mobo is all fukked up. Anybody ever rma with Asus? :sadcam:

Gonna cop that Acer ips gsync monitor whenever its available. I didn't think it was going to be released this soon, so give us some impressions 2guns.

I'll be posting some pics of my upcoming build.

Will do though they placed my shyt as well as a gang of other people's shyt on backorder. They wasn't ready for the flood.:pacspit:

I've done 3 RMA's with Asus and all have went well. I read a lot of horror stories online about their customer service but fortunately I haven't had to experience the bad. I always do advanced RMA's so perhaps that's why my experience with them is always good.

The titan x's are crazy. I can do 6K in a lot of games (not all). The only problem is in nvidia surround the idle temps are outrageous (68c). There's some bug with surround. When surround is off, the idle temps are normal (in the 30s). Other people are reporting this with their 980s. It's a maxwell feature apparently. Either way, I don't like the shyt. It won't downclock or decrease the voltage at idle in surround. It makes no sense. Nvidia might get a call tomorrow.

But the performance is :whew:

31,000 graphics score in 3d mark

BTW: Watch dogs only stuttered a few times, but it's mostly fixed now. It might have stuttered because I have the game on HDD too (who knows).

Edit 2: Crysis 3 at 6K at around 40fps (all ultra with fxaa) :wow:

@daze23 I'm copping a 144hz monitor, Counter-Strike bout to look crisp and smooth as fukk :wow:

my 60hz just isn't cutting it. These queers in CS hide so well, it's so hard to see peoples little heads poking out on this monitor. I heard the jump from 60 to 144hz is massive in terms of counterstrike, I'm excited to see what it looks like.

Check to see if your card has that "0db" profile where the fan's won't even come on until the card reaches 60 - 65c...

Had the same problem with my 980's out of the box...

Changed the fan curve using gpu tweak so the fan spins at 35% even when the card is idle...

Have'nt had my temps reach 60 degrees since I did that...

How do I check that? (the 0db feature)

My problem is the cards won't downclock in surround. They won't go below 810mhz at idle. When I put it on maximimze 3d performance and use 3 monitors, the temps are fine and the cards downlock to 135 MHz like they should at idle . I think it might be a surround issue, but I'm willing to check out this 0db feature

Edit: Just checked, my fans are spinning at 1050RPM at idle when not in surround. They're at around 1400 when I put it in surround. I don't think the 0db issue is my problem :mjcry:

BTW, I contacted NVIDIA, they say it's a bug with titan x sli in nvidia surround. They say shouldn't worry about 68c idle temps, which seems strange too me. They said they're looking into it though. Oh the problems with nvidia surround :mjcry:

But 6K :banderas:

Yeah 68c is pretty high for an idle card with spinning fans...I would check airflow in the case....but then again it is a titan card and the other titan cards run pretty hot to so...

Has Nvidia surround sound ever not had problems :russ:...every nvidia forum i am apart of around 50% of reported issues are with Nvidia surround:russ:

If I had just waited another week or 2 I could have gotten an X...but my wife kept pressuring me until I finally relented and gave her my 780's...meaning I had to get the 980's:mjcry:

Could have just gamed on her rig for a few weeks and then got a Titan X :mjcry:

I am trying to avoid reviews on the card cause I know if I started reading them I am going to get it and then I am going to have to find something to with these 980's:mjcry:

I'm not going to let my wife punk me for these cards to:mjcry:

Right....:to:right:sadbron:...right:mjcry:

My airflow is good (I got a ton of fans). It idles in the 30s when I'm not in surround, so it's a surround issue. With 3 monitors connected and "maximize 3d performance" the temps are fine. I guess i just gotta wait for a fix :manny:

The titan x sli is crazy man. I'm real happy with my purchase (minus this surround bug issue). 980 sli is still nice though.

I bought a 144hz monitor for cs go and while I'm still really bad at the game, it's definitely made a big difference. Just make sure you use dvi dual link as your connectoon. Which monitor you getting?
