The titan x's are crazy. I can do 6K in a lot of games (not all). The only problem is in nvidia surround the idle temps are outrageous (68c). There's some bug with surround. When surround is off, the idle temps are normal (in the 30s). Other people are reporting this with their 980s. It's a maxwell feature apparently. Either way, I don't like the shyt. It won't downclock or decrease the voltage at idle in surround. It makes no sense. Nvidia might get a call tomorrow.

But the performance is :whew:

31,000 graphics score in 3d mark

BTW: Watch dogs only stuttered a few times, but it's mostly fixed now. It might have stuttered because I have the game on HDD too (who knows).

Edit 2: Crysis 3 at 6K at around 40fps (all ultra with fxaa) :wow:

These things OC like crazy. :ohlawd:

nvidia forums are a joke :heh:

nvidia support is a joke. :heh: Idling at 68C in surround is okay :francis:

:camby:

I just changed the fan profile and now I'm idling in the low 50s. Still not great, but better than damn 68C. These Titan X's aren't quiet at high fan speeds though. Oh well, thank god for headsets

I wish I knew how to do waterblock shyt. I'm not learning on these cards though.

Yeah 68c is pretty high for an idle card with spinning fans...I would check airflow in the case....but then again it is a titan card and the other titan cards run pretty hot to so...

Has Nvidia surround sound ever not had problems :russ:...every nvidia forum i am apart of around 50% of reported issues are with Nvidia surround:russ:

If I had just waited another week or 2 I could have gotten an X...but my wife kept pressuring me until I finally relented and gave her my 780's...meaning I had to get the 980's:mjcry:

Could have just gamed on her rig for a few weeks and then got a Titan X :mjcry:

I am trying to avoid reviews on the card cause I know if I started reading them I am going to get it and then I am going to have to find something to with these 980's:mjcry:

I'm not going to let my wife punk me for these cards to:mjcry:

Right....:to:right:sadbron:...right:mjcry:
Breh, I can't explain how good these Titan Xs are. Return your 980s while you still can and get these Titans. They are fukking insane.

I'm playing crysis 3 all ultra in 6k again and I'm getting 40-50fps.

These cards :wow:

They do overclock well @2gunsup, but they don't even need it. :damn:

I'm back to glorious pc gaming :blessed:

Do you have power management mode set to adaptive? Try setting Windows to basic mode (8.1) or classic mode (7) and see if that does anything. Also try disabling hardware acceleration for chrome. How do you have your monitors connected? To both cards or a single? If both try to a single card if possible.

It's adaptive and all the monitors are on one card through dislayport (same thing happens when I spread the monitors out on 2 cards). I'll try basic mode. Hopefully that'll work. I think it might be a bug though with surround sli. It just won't downclock past 810mhz, causing the high temps.

I was reading around, and since I'm in surround it thinks im running a 6k monitor, that may be why it isn't downclocking. The thing is I didn't have this problem with my 780tis in 6k. There's some bug with the drivers I think. That's what nvidia thinks too

@daze23 I'm copping a 144hz monitor, Counter-Strike bout to look crisp and smooth as fukk :wow:

my 60hz just isn't cutting it. These queers in CS hide so well, it's so hard to see peoples little heads poking out on this monitor. I heard the jump from 60 to 144hz is massive in terms of counterstrike, I'm excited to see what it looks like.
summit recommended the asus over benq.. i need a 144hz monitor bad. or at least a 120hz

:patrice: Brehs are we still fukking with Desktop PCs in 2015?

I still use a CRT Tube monitor for my Desktop PC. I've been meaning to replace it with a flatscreen LCD moniter FOR YEARS since I bought this desktop PC back in 2009. But, I've always put it off.

Earlier this year I looked at my desktop PC & just thought :flabbynsick::flabbynsick::flabbynsick::flabbynsick::flabbynsick: at the concept of still using a desktop as your Home PC in 2015.

I decided I will not be making anymore upgrades & this will be my final Desktop PC. I plan to use Laptops as my Home PC from here on out when I'm eventually done with my Desktop.

did you really just come into the PC thread and ask if we still fukk with desktops? did you see the last few pages talking about Titan X SLI and shyt? :heh:

a desktop is gonna be easier to upgrade, and there's way more options to upgrade. plus much better thermal solutions for gaming

personally I don't use my laptop anymore because I can do most of that stupid shyt (web browsing, listening to music, etc) on my phone
