4790K should last longer than this generation, Intel haven't made any real advancements since Sandy Bridge
Not that much more expensive. For a Skylake vs Haswell build you are probably looking at a $60 premium on the Skylake CPU and maybe $10-$15 for boards with similar features. RAM cost is about the same.if I was building something today, I'd probably want a CPU that supports DDR4. but those options are more expensive
Would yall fukk with this?
Running with the 980. Eating through games like a hot knife on butter.Welp, my GTX950's reign on top was short like the Leprechauns.A bit of history here......
-The GTX 570 in my newer PC went kaput so I had to use my older computer.
-This computer had a GTX460with only 4gb of RAM
-I upgraded to a GTX950 and 12 gigs of RAM
-The 950 wasn't powerful enough so after a month or so I'm upgrading to this GTX970.
-I need a new CPU though because I'm still running an i5 at 2.8ghzI'll get an i7 next month.
