Thanks for the help, I got everything up and running. Had to upgrade to Windows 10. Reinstalled the mobo drivers and the Nvidia drivers and I could boot up my games. Something was fukked up with Direct X before the upgrade.

good to hear.
there is nothing worse than having a fukked up rig...my stomach starts getting all knotted up.

Bought a new videocard and when I went to take the old one out the pci-e connector thing came off and bent the pins so now I need a new motherboard which means a new cpu and ram since the parts are so old

Just sold my old haswell build for 1,600. I think I took a L because I can't finish my new sky lake build. It's that time where the current gpus not really worth getting, when soon the new line of gpus will be out r.i.p hope they treat you well

tried out Vulkan (new API) tonight in The Talos Principle

ran the benchmark for 60 sec:

dx11: average 117fps
Vulkan: average 77fps

ran it again, and got a driver crash

it's a start I guess
