They're supposed to be, but AMD always says that. The Fury's were rumored to be faster than the Titan X before it came out, but that didn't actually turn out to be true. The 300 series is also just a rebranded 200 series with more VRAM. I kinda lost faith in AMD
Well it's all rumors now, so wait and see, but I personally don't put too much stock in AMD at the moment. I'm hoping the Pascal cards are real good. I'm looking to upgrade this year myself. I'm an Intel & Nvidia guy, so I'll go that route. I was gonna sell my current rig and get a 6-core CPU and 3 980tis, but with the new chipsets and GPUs coming out soon, I'm waiting it out myself. I hope they come in April, as rumored, but we'll see...Damn
I'm currently using a R9 280x right now. I was going to stick with AMD but if its that bad for them I will switch over to a NVIDIA Pascal card.

I just finished upgrading my system. i5 6600k, Z170 Mobo, 16gig DDR4 RAM, GTX970 4gb, Samsung Evo 250gb SSD, basic WD 1TB HD in addition to the current one and Windows 10. It's a nice upper middle class build.
