i put most of my graphics settings to normal @ 1080p for Tomb Raider today.
i have a 560ti...no overclock.
i had most of my shyt maxed out before i made the downgrade (no hair max) and was going at 25-50 fps.

at my current medium settings, i'm getting 60-150 fps.

i'm loving the fps jump and barely noticing the difference in graphics quality.

The outer limits
Also, I just started playing Neverwinter..It's basically guild wars 1 because the dungeons are instanced and the towns are a big cluster. If anyone want to get in on it holla at me on the "Dragon" shard.

What the difference between "breaking point" and vanilla DayZ? Or is it all the same?

it's basically a mega-mod for DayZ where they take stuff from a bunch of different mods, and throw it all together (into something that works)

here's the feature list, and where you can d/l the launcher:

DayZ Breaking Point - News and announcements - The Zombie Infection - DayZ

- Over 600 more weapons added, 100 more hand guns added. etc
- Over 20 lootable skins to find, original bandit skin re-added for bandits, Clan skins - no limit on what we can add
- 175+ land, air & sea vehicles added, more end-game vehicles
- New zombie models, zombie sounds, stronger zombies, more zombies.
- More heli crash sites, loot spawns, animals. etc
- ARMA 2 Electrical Power Grid - Can be turned on/off, can be destroyed/repaired (Lighting, Street lights, Light House lights. etc)
- Logistics System - Tow vehicles, flip vehicles, load in gear/smaller vehicles, lift vehicles with helicopters, move objects. etc
- Base construction elements (W.I.P)
- Companions (Dogs)
- Refuel your vehicles fully by parking them close to a fuel tank (one that would work with a jerry can) - saves unnecessary time spent on refueling vehicles
- New sound effects for everything! From climbing ladders to running on surfaces to reloading & firing off weapons.
- Remove parts from vehicles
- Night fog/mist
-SMK Lite animations
-Different kinds of Tasers - brings new kinds of gameplay to DayZ
-New and improved map, custom towns, cities, buildings, bases. etc

it also has a few additional security features to prevent hacking

i got some more paranoia brehs. ANybody got a gtx 690 and play in nvidia surround? I was checking my temps and I'm at 92c and 90c on both gpus, respectively, when playing blood dragon and tomb raider. The card is rated at 98c before shutdown, but should I be worried at 92c? I was searching around and kept getting different answers. Some say above 90c is bad, while others say as long as it is below 95c you're good. I'm under warranty until November, so I guess it's not that bad if I burn the card, but of course I don't wanna do that.

Any insight?

Edit: I'm also not doing any overclocking

that's pretty hot

look into software to speed up your gpu fan. I have an EVGA card and use their software, but I think you can do it with rivatuner

That's abnormally high imo. I play Tomb Raider and my card(7870) hasn't gone over 75c on high load according to MSI afterburner after exiting the game. Check your airflow and any signs of dust on the fans.

I just downloaded MSI afterburner. I guess I'm gonna fukk around with it and see what I can do. I know playing in 5760 X 1080 takes a toll on your shyt, but I dunno if it should be this high. Maybe I'll change some fan settings around. I haven't done that before, but I'm sure there are guides online

How To: Adjust your Fan-Curve in MSI Afterburner

I have my shyt so it's at 70% at 60c (and very aggressive after that), and that's where it hangs out under full load

@Ciggavelli

Very high temps on that 690. The little time I had mine on air, overclocking with custom profiles similar to what daze23 mentioned I never got over 70c. With Kepler based cards you want to keep temps under 70c as they start to throttle after that point. They'll downclock themselves to compensate for the heat.

What case is your system in and how is your air flow?

By the way, 780 will be unveiled/released next week. 770 the following week. 780 will feature a cut down GK110 GPU (what's in Titan).
