i fux with the french and the cokeboyz heavy, but i never thought i'd see the day that he'd be the brightest star out of the new crop of NY ni99az. Max b. i could understand but french?? stacks and max should be carryin the cross 4 empire ni99az right now, french with his hookz,beat selection, and song makin ability leaves alot 2 be desired honestly. i got every official tape french ever did but when i listen 2 stackz or max theres just no comparison, the talent gap is tremendous. imagine stackz or max on this current production out now. im not even goin 2 drag the ol headz in {nas,jay,wu, etc.} because it would be slaughter as far as this new crop. if ny ninjaz could somehow incorporate raw lyrics with some what of an updated sound without sacrificin teir aura/swag{stackz wuz the last 2 do so imo} ny would be golden. unfortunately alotta these ninjaz either spit raw, have sick beatz, catchy hookz, or have "swag". its hard 2 find a ninja that encompasses all of these thingz up here.....

Them nikkas is always trying to kill & tear each other down. NY hip hop has a underlying hater culture. Its too hyper competitve. There is never co-existance and peace amongst one another.
Its funny, I was watching that 50 cent smack DVD and then it hit me. This nikka done beefed with every single rapper in New York, you got Fat Joe putting the beats
on papoose. Saigon snuffing Prodigiy, Maino beating everybody up, Tru Life
, Jim getting ran out the Rucker, Jay fukking Nas baby moms
, even back in the day LL was beefing with everybody, The Bridge is over. Etc.
NY hip hop aint gonna come back until these old super tough ass gangster rappers sit the fukk down and let the new nikkas come and run shyt. I have a feeling the newer generation will understand that you gotta work together rather than tear each other down. There is never a collective movement in NY cause them nikkas got WAAY to big egos.

over 10 years ago, then hate on every one region (especially the South and West Coast) for being on. Until they get rid of that dated ass sound and corny ass grimy shyt, they aren't coming back. the problem with ny rappers is they shunned the culture.
then defy the essence and skillbase of emcee'n, to revenue grab as fake toys and rap artist.
in general, that is why they are super competitive, and culturally phoney.
as they are trying to expose the le'trimm level rap fraud,...
that will expose them, as toys, themselves.
so it is a toy crab in the barrell mentality like when everyone went after ll.
all because they were to scared to fukk'n get destroyed by silver fox.
so they went after a fourteen/fifteen year old ll and got destroyed.
giving him his first kony crown when he was sixteen before krs.
smashed and scrunched the crown and took the title of the real goat for himself.
a title, krs ever relinquished,...the kony title was done away with back in fukking 86-88.
till,..it was brought out of the briefcase by puff and big.
like triple h on wrasslin being awarded the big gold belt erroneously.
as the phoney biggest draw in rap at the time.

Edit: The story of Max B is a prime example of how NY nikkas egos dont let talent blossom. Jim Jones was being a straight up jealous bytch, who didnt allow Max to get out of his contract and do his own thing solo. Why? Jus cause the nikka was hotter than you in the streets and wanted to branch out?

Personally I think NY's biggest problem right now is a lack of identity.... nikkas doing what's hot (nikkas rappin over trap beats) or trying to recapture that old (Joey Badazz) instead of just doing them
The few rappers I check for regularly (Lupe, CH, Max, Camp Lo, Lil B
, Rae, Ghost, Lloyd Banks to a lesser degree), for better or worse, don't sound like ANYBODY. NY needs to be an escape from the mainstream... just adopt a completely different style and sound thats reflective of where we are now, the narrative of our sound in general and the technical advancement of the artformI also think there is too much music and too many rappers... I dont know why nikkas feel compelled to drop a tape ever other week, when 4/5th of the songs on it are garbage. Lupe drops 1 mixtape every 2 or so years and you really cherish them... they are fukking brilliant and there is no mindless filler. More rappers need to do that. I blame Wayne for fooling people into thinking high volume of trash = buzz generating "work ethic"
