is nothings moving outside of Drake and Kendrick. everything is connected to them and outside of it its horribly stale. Its a reflection of whats become of the COLI

1. Where are the new stars?

2. New sounds?

3. good albums from vets?

Wayne n Ye dropped mid, rocky so off his game he cant even drop .....

shyt best album this year was maybe a mac miller album and he been dead for 7 years ....

I liked life is beautiful but woof we are struggling

Edit: domestically on the charts COUNTRY MUSIC has taken over HUGE last 2,3 years and it was pretty dead 2010-2021

Kind of in the state the nba is in. Our generation still kind of has a strangle hold on the culture in a weird way.
I dont like the comparison cuz the nba has a bunch of good young stars

It’s the same thing that happened in the early 10s but honestly I think the genre has peaked and the UG will have the quality for what anyone is looking for

I'm tired of Drake/Kendrick.

I don't care about what university has Kendrick albums as a course.

I don't care about what billboard accomplishments Drake made this week.

The Booth has been terrible since this whole thing started.

Commercially yeah but I’m still liking what’s coming out of the UG you have the turnt music and the lyrical miracle music in there as well. It’s not going to be force fed like before. People are going to talk about pop smoke, XXX, and juice but I don’t think they would still be relevant by now. You still have Youngboy whether you like him or not ( I don’t) his records are undeniable

All the upcoming stars that should be running rap right now died. (Xxx, pop, juice)

You still have Drake Kendrick and Future as your top stars

And all the young hungry creative people rather be streamers and rap on the side, instead of making it their main hustle.

On top of all of that but Rap lost some it’s cool factor with the youth and is slowly heading for the same fate as rock music.
