The fact that this thread was made and people co-signing it is ridiculous. The previous generation needed to be put to rest already...longer than the previous generations and the hardware was very dated.

Early adopters always have to wait...are you guys new to console gaming?

Bill Gates isn't the CEO of Microsoft anymore and I don't think he was ever that involved with Xbox anyway and he's made billions on billions to Microsoft xbox was just an experiment and they did change gaming by making online a normal part of gaming and being really good at video game interfaces

I do hate that they changed the focus of gaming to First Person online shooters though since I remember when systems like Dreamcast had such a well rounded line up and I do miss the creativity and now launches just give us way too many damn first person shooters I swear I hate that fukking genre it so unimaginative i'd rather play shooters like starfox or max payne

I love FPSs but DreamCast and PS2 did it right with variety. I also wish Sega still made consoles...

Its not about developers learning how to use the XB1 it's inferior from a hardware standpoint. Still if you consider the libraries of both systems the Xbox One still has the better overall lineup as it did at launch. Their problem is there's no justifiable reason for the XB1 to cost $100 more than the PS4. Kinect is not a justifiable reason because nobody cares about it.

Which is why they're still working to get these new devices back to previous standards we had in the last generation.. Full DLNA support, video file playback, MP3 playback, access to external hard drives, 3D Blu-Ray playback full Bluetooth headset support. we're 4-5 months in and some of these stranded console features are still missing with no date announced for them to return.

regardless of how long the last generation went on when the new one hit console makers weren't even ready to match their previous set of standard features. hell on the Xbox One we just got the ability to modify the contents of the hard drive. we still don't have an alert that pops up and tells you when a friend has logged on.

you don't have to agree with me but its painfully obvious both of these machines could have used a bit more time in the oven.

Greedy Corporations> Gamers. We are going to see a lot of this during this generation because the corporations know they can nickle and dime the gamers. Let them say they are Re-Releasing Gears of War on the Xbox One...Same game...new graphics..and a new level you can get DLC for 10.00 and people buy the shyt. They are releasing these systems with gimmicks and no games. What type of shyt is that? That's the reality we live in. And if Microsoft keeps up with the fukkery, I don't see it getting any better. So, people who got the day one xbox paid full price...with no games...while today, 3 months later, you are paying full price plus you are getting the best game....

That guy contradicted himself by saying the PS4 is more powerful but the gap will close? How does that work? Does the PS4's power lessen over time? Do developers figure out better techniques to utilize the Xbox One but not figure out better techniques for better utilization on the PS4?

I'm not saying the Xbox One will never do 1080p games i'm saying that whatever it can do the PS4 is obviously gonna be able to outdo it being more powerful.

the consoles should at the very least been equal to high end PCs. xbox 1 is already maxed out for the most part, and there's really not much room for ps4 to go either. shyt is disappointing to me to be honest
