The fact that this thread was made and people co-signing it is ridiculous. The previous generation needed to be put to rest already...longer than the previous generations and the hardware was very dated.

:wtf:

Too much piff still needing to be played on the PS3 before tossin' it in the bushes breh

That's on you, the gen was already capped out what it could do...it was struggle HD gaming at that point with the latest technologies. 8 and 9 year old tech inside those boxes breh. It was time to move on.

Specs arnt everything tho and the last gen was far from over. I understand your one of them pc master race dudes but most people that game on consoles don't really care for all that technical specifications and shyt pc gamers hold so dear. If they did then they would have invested in a pc.

These new consoles could have stayed on the oven for another year or two and probably ended up with hardware specs that are twice a powerful as what we ended up with. Hardware prices only go down and I believe that with extra time they could have thrown in a stronger gpu/cpu combo for around the same price.

negative, most of the hardcore console crowd was ready to move on.

If it would have been released a year or two from now the same story would have been told. The fact of the matter is that a new console launch will never have great AAA titles built from the ground up because their is no real incentive to do so at the very beginning so you would be looking at the same cycle in 2015-2016 instead of right now.

You cats need to realize that this is all part of the game. Even works that way on the PC...a new rollout of Windows is usually filled with compatibility issues, game fixes, app updates etc etc.

If they would have started working on these consoles back in 2012 and release them in 2015-2016 they would look even more :flabbynsick: than they already are AND potentially lose out on investing hundreds of thousands of man hours on a product that might not even sell as much as they previously anticipated. This is the best method of rolling these things out..no doubt about it.

Other than battlefield, there was no games that made normal everyday gamers think about how old the tech from last gen hardware was. Your overestimating how much people needed new consoles. Yeah when Sony and Microsoft announced new consoles everyone wanted one but now the only think I hear is how little of a jump these new consoles made from the last one. And I agree, the difference isn't that big. Not as big as it would have been if they released next year with 2x more powerful hardware.

SOHH ICEY N.O.
I been ready to move on, crazy to think about play bf4 on 360, shyt was ass and needed to be put to rest

I saw a big jump in bf(conquest was unplayable on 360, major framerate drop whenever a building fell, 32 plwas the most players), madden, and really 2k

Now I expected xbl interface to be more responsive and be up to par with 360, and that was a major disappointment

But I would much had them release the consoles when they did rather than wait another year for them to have it 100% right, plus the updates are starting to roll ib quickly
