Kendrick is no different from Nas. Nas wasn't built like no Don or no Thug. He was the kid who watched everything happened and wanted no parts. We didn't give a shyt because his music was so tough. So why is Kendrick any different? Too much 90s bias

as usual a Kendrick fan exposes how little he knows about this hip hop shyt :snoop:

Theres a kendrick hate thread every day and its the same 3-4 posters in every thread.

yup, and they're constantly bytching and moaning about his "stans" when most of the stans are in the official album thread actually discussing the album. his haters make more threads and talk about him more than the fans do. but that's typical whenever an album gets as much critical acclaim as TPAB has. instead of just being like :yeshrug:"i don't fukk with it and don't understand the hype, so I'll keep it moving," these weirdos decide to make blanket statements and come up with convoluted theories about why other people feel differently about an album than they do. there are plenty of rappers the Coli/Media/Critics hypes up that I don't fukk with or think are wack. Do I make 10,000 threads about why they're wack? Nah, I simply don't talk about them and ignore the threads about them. There are some truly weird muthafukkas on this website

Kendrick Lamar is one of the most sincere people in the rap game. One can make a song like Control and release a pro black positive album. It's quite possible. Don't be so one dimensional. What the fukk you want him to do? Make a album along the treads of control? That would be corny and overkill. And nikkas keep bringing up the fat that he took two years to release an album as if that's a bad thing. fukk you want him to do? release an album every year or multiple times a year? like some Philly street corner rapping nikka? He's an established artist on an established label that can ride off the wave of one album for two to three years. So why burn himself out by excess releases? You nikkas don't know shyt about artistry.

TPAB bought potentially bought jazz back...
opened the doors for the underground LA beat scene..that's been killing for years..but they're neww to most of you casual motherfukkers because pure too busy dikkriding average washed producers like Araab Muzik instead of putting investment or faith into newest potential. The album is also one of the most sonically perfect and cohesive efforts in years. Kendrick isnt that great of a lyricist. But this album will go down in history. if you don't see why, you're either stuck in the 90s, or you probably still wear Nike boots and north faces.
Holy hell you're delusional as fukk.

Do you know who Robert Glasper is?

he alone opened doors for more jazzy artists to be exposed to the young people.

this nikka stay mentioning glasper, the roots, foreign exchange and stuff like they are selling anything near what lamar sold, and thats in his first week :dead:

TPAB just gave them and the neo soul/jazz/ soul sound more exposure than the artists who solely do it have been able to get on their own. the album isnt "bringing jazz back" but it could make some artists switch up their syle. kendrick just sold 300 stacks first week with a left field ass album, his peers are watching

Im REALLY in this scene though. And you all don't know what you're talking about.

These artists have been eating and kendrick ain't gonna do anything for their appeal to late 20s and up audiences.

The truth is, everyone in the game is an actor. No one wants to be like the LOX and spend weekends or years in jail just to prove they're "thugged out". You're here to write bars and sell records, bottom line. Fans don't expect motherfukkers to be out here shooting and beating people up, Tupac barely got away with, but these days its just a lawsuit waiting to happen. Kendrick grew up around gangs, he's said plenty of times he isn't affiliated with any of em...fair enough, not like I'd care anyway, I'm here for good music.

People hate Kendrick because he dont give in to trends and gimmicks. Plus, he about positivity on his music.
