Benson gotta work on his boxing. Always felt like that was really the only weakness in his arsenal. Pettis really didn't respect his stand-up game at all. Now I wanna see how Pettis does against Aldo, Edgar, Melendez, etc. 
Ain't nobody trying to see him fight TJ Grant.

at the people saying he shouldn't have tapped [verbally submit]. What was he supposed to do? Not tap and get his arm broken and have to sit out for an extended period of time. Pettis had it very tight, it was either Bendo loses and taps or he loses and gets his arm broken. He made the right decision.Nah, you can't hold two belts at one time. It's not allowed anymore. Aldo would have to give up his belt at 145 and it would just be a normal title fight at 155.

Pettis looked ultra impressive. His TDD, striking and submission game were all on point. Those body kicks were disgusting and the way he locked that armbar was very slick. Bendo wasn't able to do anything that fight.

realistically after grant and mendes (who both earned #1 contendership) who's shown they should get a shot at Aldo/Showtime?
Lightweight division is a mess. Melendez is fighting Diego Sanchez next?
He should get Benson after that IMO. Maynard just got knocked out, Thomson needs top 5 comp, Dos Anjos is coming off a good win vs cowboy but he needs to finish somebody.Featherweight divison is kinda a mess too. Between Lamas, Frankie, and Cub one of those three deserves a shot. Lamas beat Cub two years ago, Cubs on a 4 fight win streak since. I'd pair them up, have Frankie go the Uriah Faber route and beat some lower top 10 featherweight/hyped newcomer to the divison. Than Frankie vs Cub/Lamas.
My long and exasperated point is there's time for Aldo and Showtime to fight, and for the UFC to set up legit #1 contenders in both divisions.

Another interesting thing to note is that Pettis submitted a fighter who has looked virtually un-submittable and he did it ease. The more I think about it, the more I'm impressed with Pettis's performance.
