Called me yesterday and told me he had to unfollow them on twitter.:francis:

Backstory:

This past summer, I was at a business lunch and in conversation the topic of reparations came up. I was at a table with three black businessmen here in Chicago. One is the head of Chicago’s black republican coalition, one is a real estate CEO, and the other is a partner at a Big 4 accounting firm.

I recommended they follow a few people who are pushing the reparations talk at the ground level which included Tone, Yvette, and Tariq.

Two out of the three have told me that they’ve had to unfollow Yvette and Tariq because they do nothing but argue with each other. Said both are ego-driven and use emotional manipulation to control their followers, appear to not be strategist and are not seeing the bigger picture.

The one I spoke to yesterday said that if this is for whom the black mainstream are forgoing traditional black leadership, they’re about to wander forty years in the desert. :francis:

I’m embarrassed that I recommended them.

If ADOS and FBA can’t convince blacks with resources, I don’t know how far this movement is going to get.

I’ve said this before, you need people with resources to help fund initiatives.

How long are they going to go nickel and diming their bases who get pissed at the thought of even having to pay $50 to attend a whole ass conference. :mindblown:

Who don’t understand the time that goes into planning a conference and pissed off because of the hosting date next year?

This ain’t it. :francis:

I won’t ever recommend Yvette and Tariq again.

Got me out here looking shiftless.. :martin:

That happened to me Christmas eve only with my bro in law's, sister in law... :snoop: normally I wouldn't even go there, it's only cuz she sounded like the type.

I follow them on twitter but I don’t really see their exchanges like that unless something is posted on here.

I didn’t know it was that bad.

Do you now agree with this?

Also, what had you convinced previously that these three were fit for leadership?

Can’t speak on Tariq, as I don’t know much about him, or what he’s currently doing, but I do feel Yvette and Tone could learn to talk with people a tad bit better. I don’t follow either on social media, because the back and forth as can become toxic. Been saying that.
