I know they dont care fool that's why I'm glad they got SOMETHING passed because it easily could've been NOTHING while you sitting here talking about how bad Pelosi looks to the public

Passing that shyt now don’t mean a damn thing when millions of people lose everything they had while arguing over the bill.

They could have easily broken the deal up in parts months ago. You know why they don’t? Because that makes it harder to hide provisions that benefit big businesses and the people who line their pockets. We are talking about a 3,000 page document chalked full of who knows what.

You keep saying "they" but have no answer for why Mitch didn't vote on the bill given to him months ago:jbhmm:

If you can't acknowledge that we have nothing else to discuss

Dallas, Texas but living in Houston, Texas
term limits. Out of touch octogenarians shouldn’t be deciding the fate of 18-45 working class people.
It amazes me that the President is limited to two terms (8 years) but senators/congressmen can serve for for as long as they want or until voted out. You had two senators that died (McCain and Teddy Kennedy) for those seats to get freed up. You have people in office for DECADES.

They care about presenting an image of them caring about their constituents just enough to get re-elected. They dont actually care about anything other than their salaries, benefits and lobbyists they appease

That’s the name of the game. Too bad a lot of people’s judgement are too cloudy to see it.

It is a they when there are people on both sides of the table with their own best interest at heart. Congress have their own people to appease over the American people.

I answered your question a while ago. That bill was never theoretically going to pass in a Republican controlled Senate. Everybody knew that. That bill was mainly a political ploy to get Democrat favor heading into the election. That’s what the blue wave was supposed to be for and that’s why they were upset even when Trump lost. All of those grand plans of packing the courts are over by extension of losing the Senate. Again, that’s what the blue wave was for.

To add on..I'd also imagine the sample size is still small in terms of measuring allergic reaction or not abnormal in comparison to what was seen in trials

Yeah. They mentioned the small but not nonexistent chance of side effects. If tens of thousands of people have been vaccinated and there were dozens of allergic reactions, that's not too bad IMO.

I cant fathom how that's not readily apparent to anyone that's of age

But the past 8 or 9 months have opened my eyes to the true stupidity of people and I already believed the majority was stupid before this

If the side effects are acute and not as bad as what they would suffer if they contracted the virus..or worse than what they would have had with covid in the short term but no long term effects that covid may cause then it's worth it.

But theres a line to that. If the effects are bad and widespread then obviously that particular vaccine has to be shelved and a class action on behalf of those who received the vaccine and got the side effects should be filed

A lot of people still have this fallacy and hope that the government is going to swoop in and save the day and help offset all COVID-19 losses. Unfortunately, they have made it very clear that it’s not the case.

That’s why I have been saving for months that a lot of industries and states better finding out ways to generate income as whatever stimulus they get won’t be enough.

You also have Diane Feinstein who is displaying Alzheimer’s symptoms and they still won’t force her to step down.

In my experience its mostly older people and the young that have faith in the government. Or that's at least within the people I know. Most of my peers are disgusted and dont think they have our best interests in mind whatsoever.

As a black man or even a black person in America, why would you have faith in the government or the system to look out for you? I know Congress is more worried about their bread and appeasing the people who line their pockets than whether I’m truly making it or not.

Unfortunately, faith and hope that things will get better is all some people got really. It’s a sad concept and makes people easily get exploited or manipulated especially since they don’t know how that particular game even works.
