:mjlol:ALL THE GAMES!

:mjlol:You have it backward. Everything is cross-platform now so you might as well have the ultimate cross-platform machine. Half of the people who play Madden and 2k are PC now. You have less of a reason than ever to have an XBOX or SONY.

:russ:GTA VI isn't Sony exclusive! The fukk are you talking about? And who cares about Ghost of Yotei. Who the fukk buys a console for Ghosts of Yotei?
You can't even name why these casuals are going to leave a console for this. The Xbox especially the Series S was already a mid spec box moderate priced platform with mostly 3rd party releases like the Steam Machine will be. The Xbox however for most of this generation had Microsoft exclusives.
The market hasn't been kind to it. Valve isn't making a notable amount of exclusive games. The games casuals will play on this will be the same games they play on consoles by 3rd party developers.

There will definitely be a limited appeal to casuals because PlayStation isn't failing at its role. It's pretty clear that existing PC gamers on Steam will be the primary market.

It's great to make PC gaming more widely accessible but it's accessibility isn't a huge issue to the primary customer of Steam. The real star here is the Steam OS which when it lands on any PC will be more desirable than this specific hardware configuration.

Steam OS has been available to download since the first Steam Machines. there's just a lot of hardware compatibility issues, that probably won't be solved until it gets more widespread adoption

:mjlol:I have multiple times. You're just arguing to argue. You've already been exposed as a Sony stan so nothing your typing has any weight behind it.

:mjlol:And the new Steam box is a console. So, you're not leaving anything.

:mjlol:Xbox Series S and X were both sold out for half the gen. I sold my extra Series S the same day I posted it up on FB Marketplace.

:mjlol:PC has always had access to the Microsoft exclusive library.

:mjlol:They don't need to. You're actually proving my point. By your logic, no one should be using steam at all. The majority of gamers use PC and always have. There was a small window in time (XBOX 360 era) where 60% of people had consoles, but that moment in time has passed.

:mjlol: Not only do the majority of gamers use PC, but they also spend an average of 2000 on a gaming PC. Just having access to 99% of games for 1/4 of the price is worth it.

:mjlol:Why do you keep mentioning Sony? Again, you're exposing yourself as a Sony stan. The average American is not a weeb who plays hentai games. Sony doesn't appeal to casuals, goofy.

:mjlol:That's the whole point. Accessibility. I can download the Xbox App and have Xbox, Sony, and Nintendo games along with PC only games.

How cheap dos it have to be good value?
If it’s weaker than an ps5 than it should the cheapest thing on the market, damn near cheaper than handhelds

Especially with the ps5 discount in Japan

I’ve been looking to purchase a mini gaming. PC so I can play my emulated PS1, PS2 and GameCube games on the big screen and possibly get into Steam as well. Depending on how much this costs the price might be overkill and I also think that controller looks hideous. :pachaha:

5-$600 I think

People that already got good PCs I don't see them shelling out to make playing on their TV easier

So they gotta appeal to the console gamers who been on the fence about making the jump to PC

This is a good value for people that want a PC they can just boot up and play games from steam. As easy as the process of just building a pc people still do not want to do and if they do its a costco PC with a 2060.

They should try and get GTA, Fornite, COD and Battlefield to work on Steam OS as those are pretty big games to not have working out the box because of anti-cheat software being supported on Steam OS.
When the casual gamer finds out about this :wow:

And some of yall are playing yourselves something serious if you think that 2TB variant is coming out for less than $1000
