I think people often have this idea that players just make these large leaps over time when often that is not the case. What typically change is general iq/reading the floor with experience . Like how much better has luka gotta since his 2nd season? I'd say he's gotten better marginally just by reading the floor from experience but its not some transformational leap. Ant actually has a shyt ton of experience, he probably gets better on the margins like how Tatum has. Ant actually has more playoff experience then anyone on the thunder outside of maybe caruso
Shai at 23
24.5ppg 5rpg 5.9apg on 45/30/81 (20.9 PER)
Shai at 24
31.4ppg 4.8rpg 5.5apg on 51/34/91 (27.2 PER)
What's interesting is that everyone from Tatum to Morant to Trae Young were all better than Shai at 23 as far as stats and 'lytics.
He surpassed them all at 24, and has either sustained or widened the gap going on 3-years. That type of leap is
special.
Ant at 23 (this year):
27.6ppg 5.7rpg 4.5apg on 44/39/83 (20.1 PER)
That's also worse than Trae, Ja, and Tatum at the same age, so starting next year for Ant (at 24) will be interesting.
