I feel like Weeknd always gets overhyped. He is just the face of R&B, no different than when everyone rides the popular wave of Drake and Meek Mill. There are better, less known R&B artists, you probably just never got into their music.

I haven’t listened to this, and have enjoyed some of his past work, but he gets way too much hype.

The same composer for Uncut Gems produced a few tracks for this album. You can certainly hear it.

His stans shytting on Kissland only have themselves to blame. That was his best project but because of how poorly received that album was he decided to go the pop route. Now they’ll never get an album as good as that again.

I can't front...I was one of them. He just set such an incredible high bar on trilogy that I didn't appreciate Kissland as much when it came out.

But now, I consider it to be his 2nd best album after Trilogy...its aged incredibly well and you can play through without skipping.

I wanna love the new album but man im struggling with it nh

Kiss Land was incredible to me. It was sonically an experience, like all the beats had this feeling about them that was just different. And agreed with the brehs who said his lyricism on that one was on point.
