agree with this. w/Drake shouldve been his choice. He can still do it on his own, it'll be uphill thoughThat still doesnt change the fact that the nikka made some real bonehead moves thru out his career. He should of jus signed with Drake and carve his own lane in the underground. While hopping on Drizzy ish every now n then. Instead of trying to go big while simanteanously making his music more abstract.
You have a male r&b singer in your avi. If your not a chic you're opinion on this topic is null.Just imagine being able to gold, performing in front 10,000-20,000 people and not having to hit up every radio station or blogs whoring yourself out![]()
@ he has the voice....the weeknd cannot sing, thus the dark, atmosphery drug induced music he makes is the only reason he's eating. Imagine that nikka actually trying to sing a traditional r&b tune, um, no thanks

No offense, but a lot of y'all have very low standards in what you consider a good singer. Weeknd is a studio vocalist to the T, and even then a lot of shyt sounds questionable, but he makes it work for his sound (like aaliyah). Between his poor vocals and weirdo persona, I don't see how people really want to see him in concert, I'd be fine with being in a location that just plays his records, no need to sit through that shyt liveThe Weeknd can sing; his voice is just really high
Lets not get reckless here. Wicked Games and The Knowing are his best vocal performances.
He doesn't have a lot of confidence in his voice tho. You can tell during his live performances. But dude can sing in a closed-setting. If you wanna hear him sing a traditional R&B song, search his shyt when he was The Noize. That shyt was ass.

Haven't listened to trey since his third album, and he actually sounds ok live in addition to actually wanting to be on stage and engage with people. Secondly, where did trey even come into this conversation? Third, weekend has the potential to disappoint just like trey by going too far down the one lane he's established. The thing with trey, is he can wake up and start being more versatile again, weeknd on the other hand made his mark by this one sound, if and when people get bored of it, he'll be like someone else already stated...nothing more than a "remember when weeknd was poppin" conversation 5 years from nowI know The Weeknd is a studio singer. Didnt I just say that?
But lets not act like dude is Trey Songz status. That's the standard for garbage. You really gona sit here and tell me The Weeknd is just as bad as him in the studio?
And it's generally accepted The Weeknd is wack live. Only a deaf dude would argue that.
Dude aint got the best vocals but dudes decent live and will only improve, remember he's only 21No offense, but a lot of y'all have very low standards in what you consider a good singer. i remember when i watched the nikka Kanye perform live just after College Dropout dropped, shyt only lasted 40 minutes one of the worst performance i ever watched few years later i would say Kanyes one of the few hip hop acts i actually pay 2 see![]()
Aint nothing wrong with the lane Weeknd is in tho. Dude is different. People know his name. Why should he change up?
This is The Weeknd trying to make normal R&B
That shyt is absolute garbage. His voice doesn't fit with that shyt. It sounds completely bytch-made, not to mention he still doesn't have confidence in his voice.
You telling me he would make it with that bullshyt?![]()
