He’s right

Jay z used biggie (bad boy puffy) tactics to blow, they catered to the west coast sound

Biggie with the west coast synthesizer on “Big Poppa” and the player Mack raps….

Jay z did the same with “ain’t no nikka” , the beat and content was California

They abandoned the NY Rough Neck sound which was the soundtrack to NY at the time
EPMD used that sample first.

Jay is considered the greatest rapper of all time lol

So idk what he surpassed
More importantly Kanye has completely tanked his legacy whereas Hov is still Hov. Jay could announce a tour tomorrow and sell out within minutes. Meanwhile Kanye will never tour again and will probably be having (yearly) mental and emotional breakdowns until he dies. All while dressed like a hobo and not taking showers. What a fall off...

Jay is a rapper and is considered the greatest

No one with a brain thinks kanye is a better rapper
I didn't say better rapper. I said he made better music

Cd, lr, graduation, 808's, mbdtf, yeezus, and even life of Pablo are all better than jay z whole discography

Jay z don't have a six album run that comes close

And he aintcnowhere near the greatest rapper either :mjlol:

Nas better. Pac better. Kendrick better.

The list goes on :ehh:

Jay-Z has 14 #1 albums which is more than any other solo artist. This fact renders this thread nothing more the ramblings of a retard.....:scusthov:

Funny how quick Hovenger logic fall apart.

Sales and hits is the only thing they got to put him ahead of Nas. But when you compare him to Kanye, suddenly that shyt don't matter.

Same with Pac and BIG. Bring them up and the criteria change again.

Hov is the Triple H of rap. GOAT politician, GOAT at leveraging industry clout and mainstream media connections, but GOAT artist or performer? Nah.

Doesn'r matter. All of the are great. The level of greatness and the order dependa in preference. Nobody would dare talk about how Dre was better than Biggie, Pac, or Nas. You don't see narratives of Pac needing Dre for a hit or being a wave rider. Nobody talks about how Dre and Snoop were bigger than all of them or how Bone and The Fugees put these guys at number 2 from a sales perspective and how The Fugees had the acclaim and the sales. Jay Z ranks behind Nas, Biggie, Pac, and a few others for me, but the narratives that are used to discredit Jay could also be used to discredit other greats.
