It’s corny and anyone who says it is indirectly making light on the level of violence the average blk person in America has to experience
Nothing funny about “a group of YNs asked me if I wanted some weed so and I got the whole QP just so they wouldn’t rob unc”
Thing is, #1- who created the term “YN”, and #2- who decided to adopt/use it, especially on social media, etc?
#1

#2
This shyt is just like the “n word”. Everybody wants to say it because it’s in our music and many of us use it colloquially or as a “term of endearment”.
It was wrong then and it’s wrong now.
WE are doing this and WE are using these terms all over social media.
It’s the same thing all over again.
Wasn’t there a thread here a few weeks ago talking about age ranges for brehs? “YNs are 18-?” “Unc is 35-”, etc.
Black folks embrace this stuff and then get upset down the road when the negative effects kick in.
The term/acronym “YN” originated from…..?

Must be a very influential to spread so quickly.

Folks don’t want to be honest about what is influencing our young men and shaping their image.
