It's doing well, no one has not taught you how to understand modern R&B.
We even got white boys, Canadian immigrants, former hobos and Indians dropping heat now, there are full albums for everyone out there.

Not to mention the god D'angelo probably dropped the album of the year in any genre last year, you probably didn't like that either though :leostare:

Just read Charles Bradley's bio on spotify, im going to buy a vinyl or some shyt. I need to support that man, he like the black rodney Dangerfield of r&b :wow:
His music fire needless to say

1. Miguels album was dope imo.

2. I've seen that Tory Lanez dudes name associated with a bunch of wack rappers, he looked and sounded like one of those Chris Brown off-springs, which made me not listen to him. I've yet to read a good review so until then... there's a bunch of artists that I'd rather go through than gambling on him. Hiphop is like my 2nd most played genre, RnB my third most played. I read one pretty good review nearly everyday from a genre that I enjoy.

3. I checked his wikipedia now, he hasn't even released an album but like 15 mixtapes. I like full and properly recorded albums.

And how the hell is one lazy for not listening to one artist, when I listened to just about every single RnB album that dropped last year? In 2014 I listened to nearly 365 albums.
Listen to say it by torey lanez. Song is fire

Lol. Did someone in this thread really just say Miguel's last album was terrible? Seriously??!! The nikka dropped a classic, criminally slept on by the masses, but it was an original, inventive, imaginative, it went against the grain. It's actually a shame it sold so poorly as he probably won't try and push boundaries on the next release....

Now if we're talking your regular rnb type sh1t in terms of singing, beats etc, August Alsina dropped a pretty stellar album this year. He needs to work on his subject matter and songwriting, but for a young cat it was a good effort. One thing these cats need to release is songs with lyrics referencing h0es and fukking your ass to sleep doesn't lend your artistry to longevity. We still listen to Marvin and them to this day, current cats will be nothing but a footnote in the grand scheme of things

There is more R&B and soul music than is played on the radio. Soundcloud does more for the genre than major labels do. I've still got the Rashad album in heavy rotation and that shyt came out like a month ago, not one mention here.
I think @hustlemania started a thread on his album (I could be wrong...) but he was one of the firsts
to mention rashad a few years ago.

His team/label handled that album campaign wrong. Coffee should not have been the first single, it made the audience expect Kaleidoscope Dream 2.0 so when you go to listen the whole record the sound overall is such a departure its off putting. It took me a couple of months to really delve into the album and appreciate it.

FLESH, destinado a morir, or waves would have been better first outings
