Rest of the world, it'll help that we don't run quite as enthusiastically into bombing foreign brown people, but obviously I'm mainly thinking about the 95% of Britons who need a leg up right now.

Not with these terrorist attacks recently breh.... and when have you ever said no to going to war when America said so ?

You are our lapdog and you know it. Wouldn't trust Corbyn to pull the trigger if this island got nuked though....

My main issue is more taxation and nationalizing certain sectors ...he'd be aight if it wasn't for that

I'm a Briton. I was raised in the tradition of Tony Benn. Rich men should be more about solving poverty than anyone else.

No clue who this old codger is but I believe rich men should pay fair taxes and treat their employees well when alive then donate all that sh!t after death.

I'm a social capitalist, not a libertarian. British, old bean, not American.. we're capable of a bit more nuance in our economic morality. I'm broad-sighted enough to realise that my life is made less safe, less comfortable and my income less secure if I'm an island of riches surrounded by poverty. I live in the East End. I'd have to remove my own eyes to be able to ignore the effects of inequality.

The short-termism of "I'm alright, Jack" is exactly what led us to this mess.

Old bean you say ? :mjpls:

You mean how you brits are capable of nuance with your systemic institutional racism as well :getmarriedbrehs:

Why act like you reside in the heart of a council estate in Liverpool or Huddersfield ? :gucci:

You should run for office with this "man-of-the-people but i'm wealthy" mantra...I mean look at Trump :skip:

Cobryn vs May. The people vs The elite. Conscience vs Greed. Who will succeed ? :wow:

The exact reason I haven't been able to vote for a major party since I got the ability. Corbyn won't hold Trumps hand.... if there's anything you can say about Corbyn, it's that he has consistently made the right calls about our involvements in wars.

My main issue is more taxation and nationalizing certain sectors ...

Me too. That's why I'm voting for him. Ever since we started privatising in the 80s most of our public services have gone to shyt. It's not a coincidence. I know it's an alien frame of mind for an American, but that's the truth. The NHS was amazing when I was a kid... every time a service has been sold to private tender, it has got less efficient and more expensive to the tax payer. It just doesn't work.

Old bean is racist now? "Bean/Beaner" isn't used here like it is there, is that why you think it's racist? Old Bean is generally a term of endearment between posh people, but I'm not exactly going to defend it if it genuinely offends. My apologies if I've missed something there.

Because I reside in the heart of a council estate in the East End of London. We're not as spacious as America. If you live in a British city, no matter how rich you are, you're only ever one or two streets from abject poverty. I watch a homeless man make his bed under the railway bridge next to my balcony as I have my bedtime smoke every night... it's difficult to maintain those bubbles of prosperity when they're constantly being punctured by visions of the truth.

That's exactly what Corbyn and Sanders have been trying to do, let's face it. Neither of them are working class, but they are doing their best to represent the working classes because the current system means if you *are* working class, you've got no chance of making any kind of difference. They get my support and they get my campaigning energies. Tbh, it's not uncommon for friends and family to tell me I should run for office... but you really don't have to look far on the web to find photos of me in entirely unelectable states on dancefloors, stages and festivals around the world. I reckon I could get some play at a local level, but the national press would savage me on day one the first time they realise who TheAlbionist is and what he:feedme: was up to in his 20s.:lolbron::picard:

Exactly. It'll be greed inevitably, but hopefully by a margin that means they don't survive long. The wind is changing.:blessed:

Maybe :patrice:

Let's face it Theresa May needs to win to keep this right wing train going ...Trump and May may be
Reagan and Thatcher all over again. Nothing but deregulation, low taxes and austerity ......

Soros waiting in the wings to feasts off of both sides of the atlantic...... :wow:

.
I've spoken to older blokes who remember these public services going private ... BT and the like
were inefficient as f*ck in the 70s. LOL everything is amazing when you are a kid...

You ever go back and watch Star Wars as an adult ? besides I've seen how y'all drag ass with everything here

Russian submarines right in the english channel due to not having anti-maritime defense

Then there was the debacle in aviation overspending :pachaha:

No. I've seen the black conviction rates and the suspicions from "you lot" :stopitslime:

I won't even get started with the f*ckery in the banking sector :dame:

Btw, if any of our friends over the pond are wondering about Corbyn's credentials:

Here he is being arrested in the 80s for protesting against South African apartheid whilst Mrs Thatcher's administration was calling Nelson Mandela a "terrorist" (hint: Corbyn was proved right in the end)

Here he is addressing a march protesting the war in Afghanistan his own party followed Dubya into after 9/11 (hint, Corbyn was proved right in the end)

Here he is challenging the Iraq War his own party also followed Dubya into - during this period he warned us all that our involvement in unjust wars in the Middle East would lead to a rise in domestic terrorism. (hint: Corbyn was proved right in the end)

Here he is being taken to court for refusing to pay the Conservative poll tax in the early 90s (hint: Corbyn was proved right in the end)

Corbyn was outspoken when the UK government was propping up Augusto Pinochet in Chile (hint: Corbyn was proved right in the end)

Corbyn campaigned for the Birmingham Six and the Guildford Four - all falsely accused of IRA attacks and later acquitted. (hint: Corbyn was proved right in the end)

The reason this man has managed to be a protester for his entire political career and also maintain a safe seat in our capital city (he's been MP for Islington for 34 years) is because anyone that's paid attention to him for long enough knows he consistently shows examples of the best judgement in our entire political system. The entire country is getting a chance to learn that now.
