They thought they could ride that alt right wave into a new future.
Trump had won. Brexit happened. Le Pen seemed inevitable.
Then the left started pushing back and she played herself. Epically.
Clark has sold out BC imo. Worse than Hillary in many aspect. What is there to say about May and Hillary anyway at this point. Le Pen was spotted and entire country that was angry and a inept establishment and still couldn't close the deal.Only May and Clinton have anything in common in this list. Both very risk averse and tried to cake walk to wins against weak opposition.
Le Pen was never a favourite and probably the best her party could ever do.
Clark won two elections, and the BC Liberals were in power for 17 years. They were due a loss.

Corbyn might be PM by October. Funny thing is, I women of color have no problem winning election. Pakistan, Turkey, etc have had female leaders. The west talks out of both sides of it's mouth when it comes to "lean in" feminism imo.
Fair enough.Don't get me wrong I think Clark is terrible and would never vote for her. Was just analyzing it strictly from lens of electoral success.
Tried to run on extremely risk averse, unpopular platform. Also think most establishment underestimated Corbyns appeal with the young. 74% voter turnout among 18-24 group is pretty amazing.Fair enough.
I'm shocked May lost. How?
I believe 8-10 seats and less than 1% of the vote
The Tories new coalition partners:

10 seats, which is 1.5% of the the seats. They won 0.8% of the popular vote.
Why dup? Why can't the conservatives create a coalition with ukip or the liberal democrats?
UKIP lost their only seat they don't have any MPs. Liberal democrats have ruled out another coalition with the Tories (the last one with Cameron lead to their former leader losing his seat yesterday)Why dup? Why can't the conservatives create a coalition with ukip or the liberal democrats?
