They had a window, but overall they both were way too inconsistent. Over their careers only shot 42-43% and averaged 23-24ppg against each other. And the Lakers were almost always a lot better than Marbury's teams.

Lebron-Wade was the lit scoring battles. It's like they had an agreement with their teams, "This is the regular season, just let us go at each other all game." Three times going over 80 combined, three more going over 70. Over their careers Lebron averaged 29ppg and Wade 27ppg, both on great shooting, and Lebron had the edge overall but it was close.

That game where Lebron put up a 47-point triple-double to overcome Wade's 44 points and 9 assists. :wow:

No question those Lakers teams were infinitely better, but Kobe and Marbs used to go at each other.

shyt was personal. :heh:

Kobe dropped 30 in a W over Lebron once in his entire career, and that was a 33-3-1. The next closest he came was a 27-2-2. All his other W's were a
It's even worse in context, because in the two Laker/Cavs matchups during Lebron's rookie year in 2004, Kobe only played 6 minutes and 17 minutes and didn't do crap, but the Lakers still won both games.

So if you only count the games where both players actually played (all the other matchups both guys were in 30+ minutes), then Kobe is only 4-16 against Lebron.

4-16 :scust:

LeBron James vs. Kobe Bryant | Basketball-Reference.com

In his entire career against Lebron, Kobe scored 30+ in a win....ONCE. :lolbron: He scored 10, 2, 27, 20, 19, and 33 in the 6 wins against Lebron.

Lebron scored 30+ in a win against Kobe....EIGHT times. :blessed: He scored 38, 33, 41, 37, 31, 39, 32, 36 in those 8 games.

Who feasted on who again? :patrice:

And that doesn't even reflect the fact that Lebron was scoring more efficiently than Kobe AND outperforming in literally every other aspect of the game as well.

Lebron: 28.2ppg, 7.4rpg, 7.2apg, 1.9spg, 0.7bpg, 47-32-69 shooting splits, 16 wins

Kobe: 24.6ppg, 5.0rpg, 5.2apg, 1.1spg, 0.2bpg, 43-34-85 shooting splits, 6 wins (really only 4)

Kobe had a few "take a lot of shots, score a lot of points, and lose" games against Lebron though. :pachaha:

38 points on 33 shots and miss the game-winner at the buzzer, 35 points on 33 shots and lose by 15, 31 points on 31 shots and let Lebron get the game-winner with 40 seconds left while you miss both threes after that, that sort of thing. I guess those were the "feasted" games you were referring to? :jawalrus:

Kobe does have that free throw shooting advantage on him. :troll:

with 20 points or less.

He NEVER hit anything like a 30-7-5 in any W against Lebron in his entire career, not even once in 13 years, and you're claiming he would have dropped it easy based on....what exactly?

Im talking one on one as in guarding each other. Idc what lebron scored on anybody else on the lakers. Also Kobe averaged 28-30 on the celtics and magic, two teams that beat lebron. Kobe averaged 28 in the season of 29 and 30 in the finals. Same as how lebron averaged only 18 in the finals in 2011 but his regular season and playoff numbers were much higher. Here's the most important thing to me. Lebron had not shown to be mentally tough enough o survive the pressures in the finals till after 2 losses. Kobe averaged 15 on 38% in 2000. Since then he averaged 25+ in his finals victories and you think a mentality weak lebron is stopping that? The same lebron that couldn't post up JJ Berra and Jason terry but he's stopping Kobe in the most important series?

Steph averaged more points than kyrie Irving in the regular season, but kyrie outplayed him in the finals?i do not believe lebron would beat Kobe three times in the NBA finals especially the lebron post 2012. He did not have enough experience outside of getting his full blasted by the Spurs and was too mentiallty weak for me to even take him series against a stronger more finals built lakers team and as another nikka pointed out. Phil Jackson was in a better position. Lebron couldn't get past the celtics that Kobe split 1-1 with. I kant take you that much serious anyways. You the same one who swears you would beat a bunch of white dudes that would run you off the court in the 50s

The regular season is not the finals. If it was the Warriors would of swept the cavs and steph would have outscored lebron. The Hawks would have also beaten the cavs in the playoffs since they swept them in the regular season in 2014-2015. Kobe dropped 30 on the same magic and a celtics team lebron couldn't beat without the help of Wade and bosh, held a tv special to leave Cleveland and then choke his way through 6 games but he beating the lakers 3 times within 2008 to 2010 when he couldn't get past the celtics? Regular season isn't the playoffs or finals. Lebron could of scored 49 on Kobe all his career but would he do that in the finals? My opinion Is no

please, put Kobe on a super team for 7-8 years in the worst conference of all time, and he would get more rings than LeBron.

Right. At most Kobe had Shaq and pau, unless you want to include an old Malone and Payton. Lebron has prime Wade, bosh kyrie and Kevin love. And he still 3 out of 8. Kobe is 2 out of 3 without Shaq.

Kobe won all his rings against the "worst conference of all time". Bron won his by beating 2 of the best teams of all time. :camby:

LeBron played in a terrible EAST his whole career. that's an asterisk on his resume
Needed Ray Allen to bail him out in Game 6 (LeBron had 3 turnovers in final 2 minutes of that game, would've been a legendary choke job)
Needed Kyrie to take all the huge shots in the 2015 Finals

It took a collapse choke by the Warriors and the Spurs for him to win either of those and we seen what happened win the Spurs came back in 2014

Kobe beat a celtics and magic that ran lebron out of the building and onto tv to announce he was leaving to Miami.

And still needed a super team to leave the east. He said himself miami big 3 was to beat the celtics big 3. Kobe lost once and didn't lose that second one. 2-1 post Shaq
