They finally found the only media voter who didn’t put Nikola Jokic as a top 5 player in the MVP race. It was Mark Jackson

The Lakers were predicted to not even make the playoffs and Kobe had them in first place half way through the season even before the Pau trade yet somehow someway nikkas act like him winning the 08 MVP is the biggest travesty in MVP history. Add the fact CP3 could’ve settled it when they played the Lakers late in the season but lost and also the Hornets getting they ass beat in the playoffs and this has always been one the strangest Kobe hater narratives :dead:

nikkas got no spine man stay bending for a dollar smh
Bruh look at his ballot. He has a Center, 2 forwards, 2 guards. It's probably his All NBA vote. I don't he truly believes SGA is a Top 5 MVP Candidate

He made a mistake, but players don't want to hear that when millions of dollars are tied to awards season. These situations happen every single year and rightfully deserve to be criticized even if it was an obvious mistake.

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
Social media was kicking his ass so he felt he needed to say something thus pressuring him to apologize.
Your interpretation. To me, it comes across that he was just owning up to a mistake/oversight. Maybe he also saw how some were trying to attribute his vote to some political statement and wanted to distance himself from that and make it clear he meant no slight/disrespect to Jokic.

My point is that there was nothing to apologize for…

Nah. I can see him wanting to apologize if he voted incorrectly. He thought he was doing it right. If he realized the proper rules, he felt that he would’ve voted differently. The apology accomplishes two things: showed that he wasn’t disrespecting Jokic’s accomplishments this year and it proves that he is not incompetent.

The apology was sincere. You want him to not explain his rationale?
